the bodybuilding obsession with "optimal form" is gay as fuck

the bodybuilding obsession with "optimal form" is gay as frick
every jacked dude at my gym just goes hard on compound lifts, while the skinny guy who hasn't benched 315 despite lifting for 3 years is sitting over in the corner doing some homosexual "optimized" facepulls with 15lbs
frick you

i remember in the early 2000s, everybody was lifting heavy as frick with high intensity sessions
what happened?

RPE 7-8 for compounds and RPE 6 for accessories.

I used to do that and made no progress in more than a year.

      RPE isn't real
simply going to sleep at a different hour or having a different pre-workout meal than usual could massively alter your perception of what is a hard rep

weight on the bar is all that matters

Well yeah… why would doing face pulls make you bench more? moron

like you called it, "lifting heavy with high intensity" is always better when done with optimal form, rather than sub optimal form, there is no denying this. you can still go hard with optimal form. you should be complaing about the lack of intensity rather than the obsession with optimal form but i agree with you anon most people train like they have sand in their pussy

the guys train with zero intensity and justify it by saying "i just need to target the muscle bro i don't ego lift"
fricking hate these dorks so much

Well yeah… why would doing face pulls make you bench more? moron

      >rear delts aren't involved in the bench
do you just divebomb the bar to your chest? DYEL spotted

Optimal form is overrated so long as you're not being moronic and risking fricking yourself up.
ALL the biggest guys I saw lifting back in the 1990s when I started were typically using mediocre to shit form on a lot of lifts. Barbell rows where they had almost vertical torsos, bounced benches, half ROM overhead presses, etc., but they STILL got bit and were strong.
Of course, the better your form is, that's great. But you don't have to do every fricking lift like you're straight out of a Squat University tutorial video to make amazing gainz. People who don't get this will be small and weak forever.

With most things in life, people are fricking stupid and advice you see in media has to cater to the lowest common denominator which is why q-tips have a warning saying 'do not use for ears' even though that's like 95% of the reason why they're bought. It's to prevent liability for these moron masses so keep that in mind when you take advice or instruction from anywhere, use your mind a little bit, listen to your body and see exactly how much you can get away with.

False sense of superiority, can't be stronger so they cope by form gayging.

Came here to post this. Watch any video online of an impressive lift and there's just swarms of homosexuals critiquing form, strap usage, bw ratios and accusing roids/fake plates. Dyel "lifting enthusiasts" are genuinely worse than women.

Mind muscle connection is roider cope since they don’t like working hard for gains, nor do they have to

I see some huge guys training on israelitetube lifting big weights with extremely bad form and no real control over the weight. I ask myself if it wouldn't be better to use lighter weights, but doing everything else right. Are they into ego lifting or is it really better to just focus on bigger weights while minimizing every other consideration?

Shit example considering Ronnie won 8 olympias and was a household name in the late 90s/early 2000s and the guy doing his perfect form 15lbs facepulls will usually be laughed at if he tells somebody he goes to gym. I'm sure you could find more than a handful of morons that snapped their shit up without any accomplishments though.

Some of us have disabilities and are oldgays, c**t. I used to recklessly deadlift 600 pounds with little reguard for my health. Id never advise someone to train like that.

    Remember
    training hard and consistent>everything else
I lift as hard as I can but focus on not snapping my shit up.
