How can you be this smug when literally anyone, even a 90 lb little girl can just decide to end your life if they feel like it? Cyclists are so vulnerable, you would figure that they would be more humble considering how weak they are in literally any potential exchange involving a car. That's why I hate these fuckers. They are so pretentious and have such a fake aire of superiority when they are doing something really lame and they have no leverage of any kind

The cyclist, specifically the lanky lycra sporter, is an asshole who helps the garden gnomes instigate the forced "walkable" megacity hive concept. All of the shilling of "mah heckin walkable cities" is part of a psyop to get normies conditioned into living in eternal rentoid pods and owning nothing. An example of this is the 15 minute city concept being implemented in the UK. You won't be leaving. Not with an APC or even a motorbike chasing you on your dinky goybike should you choose to be a bad gentile and try seeking refuge to a freer rural area. Car sales and oil trades dying down are an acceptable risk for the Talmud finally coming true. The last nail on the coffin showing how this psyop is the execution of human autonomy is how the NotJustBikes channel isn't silenced for his "rebellious" ideas but is instead unrestricted monetization from garden gnometube, and is even paid by straight up NWO organizations to make videos sucking off Amsterdam, Netherlands.

      Mountain bikes are based.

It's a speed limit not a speed minimum.

        Anonymous

        >Various roads in Japan, the Republic of Ireland and the USA are all subject to minimum speeds.
        >Just as their maximum counterparts, minimum speed limits are designed to increase road safety. Instead of accelerating and braking, keeping vehicles above a certain speed helps to keep traffic moving. This is particularly important when stopping traffic may cause problems for emergency vehicles to get through: in tunnels, for instance.
        >Driving too slowly can also impede the safety of other drivers. When on the roads, we all have a duty to try to anticipate the movement of others. Driving particularly slowly can cause a hazard to other motorists, who may not have correctly assessed their speed. It can force harsh braking, increasing the risk of a pile-up. It also encourages actions like tailgating or unsafe overtaking, particularly if a queue builds up behind the slow driver, and there is peer pressure involved.

          Anonymous

You're likely to only see a minimum speed sign on a highway where it's not legal to cycle anyway. Stop being a dipshit.

            Anonymous

His point still stands. Having slow people in traffic increases the risk of accidents, so cyclists driving on the road increase the risk of traffic accidents since now people have to break or overtake.

Oh and it's also legal to ride horses on most streets. Again it's a limit not a minimum.

my point is that occupying the lane while going way below the speed limit is obviously wrong and unsafe. It doesn't matter if it's a bike, a tractor or a normal car, you must make taking you over as easy as possible if you are too slow

            >B-b-but they sell expensive beep beeps!
They selk expensive jordans too exclusively for poor morons. Whats your poiny timmy?

The psychology with the anger issue is degenerate.
Narcissistic traits and it continues because people keep getting away with little punishment if any with injuring or killing this group of traffic.
Then there's people who hate cats or dogs who goes off-road just to kill them, quite a similar degenerate mentally ill fixation.

With so little punishment for this crime and much being written off as "accidents" society basically allows it to a high degree.
For my country it is even worse for pedestrians, it's rarely punished to kill pedestrians with vehicular slaughter.

At it's core it's definitely not about being held up 3-5 seconds.

I fucking hate how the automobile garden gnome has brainwashed americans into thinking it’s the ultimate freedom (so long as the road is paved (so long as you pay the oil garden gnome for gas (so long as you dump thousands to maintain it every year (so long as you obey the mandated-by-law insurance garden gnome (so long as you don’t get creamed by stacy in her 3 ton SUV or kyle in his 4 ton pavement princess (so long as your taxes go down the literal drain in order to maintain the sprawling network of hundreds of thousands of miles of roads because everything is so spread out and low density*~~*~~
are cars inherently bad? no, it’s useful if you need to get somewhere on time or traveling somewhere that is not connected by transit, but when it’s the only method of getting anywhere, has resulted in many of our cities being irreversibly fucked in terms of design (i fucking hate zoning laws), is actively contributing to obesity crisis, making communities (especially kids, since there’s nowhere to play in suburbia and will get run over by cars going the speed limit of 35 mph in a fucking residential area) more isolated, and is directly making rich garden gnomes richer, i think we have a little problem
of course in america there’s the issue that you can’t walk down the street without being shot or go on the bus and riding with heroin junkies but those are societal problems (which are, albeit indirectly and not by a significant portion, caused by dependence on cars (mainly costs of buying, owning, and maintaining a car, which is directly making people poorer, and a car, i must remind you, is needed to get literally anywhere in this country))
cyclists can be annoying cunts but i would rather have 500 cyclists than another car on the road

If everyone just cycled everywhere and inner lanes were left free for commercial vehicles, society would objectively be better. It would be a utopia.

    It would:
    >save on healthcare costs
    >end obesity
    >end heart disease
    >make quality of life higher everywhere because of less noise and smoke pollution
    >save people hundreds of dollars a month by freeing yourself from insurance, tags, gas and Maintenace fees
    >create a boom in small businesses because now people will go to local stores close to them instead of driving 40 miles to walmart. Pic related
    >save MILLIONS of lives from car wreck deaths since a cyclist accident is a scraped knee and the worst thing that could happen is a concussion from not wearing a helmet
    >end the silent crisis of old people being unable to move themselves so it's this massive time/financial/emotional stress on the family trying to take care of these people
    >dramatically reduce the incentive for American oil invasions
But fat redneck need engine go vrooooom even if they have to lie to justify it. I saw some redneck claim fuel cell cars are nukes on wheels so I asked him to provide one example of them exploding since they existed since the 60s and he just called me a garden gnome and hid the thread.
    >but my groceries
Again, helping end obesity but also just learn how to tie a knot and get a basket or backpack.

Also the hate towards cyclists is ridiculous. A cyclist on the road is just 2 seconds you need to signal and pass them. The worst thing that can happen is they take the lane (which is illegal if they're not going the speed limit so that's not a valid argument) but CONSTANTLY you see low IQ drivers literally swerving to kill cyclists and giggling about it. Just the other day it happened to Connor McGregor so nobody is safe and it's not just a moron problem. It's educated, white people deciding to randomly run over people because they're angry at someone being healthier than they are.

I live in CA in a suburb of sacramento so that is one of the perks here. If I was living in the country I would fatbike/mountain bike only because riding without lanes/paths is too sketchy. Parents did it in the 70's-90's but that was a different time.

                >sure but why?

Because you're annoying and taking up an entire lane of traffic when you could use the bike path or trails instead. If you're a eurofag just trying to get to work ignore me, but there's a culture of American cyclists that do everything they can to try and kill themselves on the road (run stop lights, aggressively yell at drivers trying to pass them, etc) and I want them to know I will happily oblige them. There's a reason cyclists get hate here and it is well deserved.

Where do you see these people. Over here people are in the bike lane(3ft of shoulder), sidewalk, or bike trail.
Sometimes I see cyclists on mountainous roads but those have nowhere else and low traffic.
Luckily I am on a motorcycle and I pass them easily.

I don't think the people who do that are posting here. They are probably at some cafe post ride.

                >too poor to afford a car
                >cope cope cope
Lmao. You could’ve just said so. Also it’s not like owning a car and bike are mutually exclusive

I just don't like paying the state for more shit laws I don't want.

most of the time in the inner city. Let me be straight, there are plenty of regular cyclists who use bikes for transportation, but I always see groups of these retards in high trafficked areas taking up lanes on 45 mph roads just asking to get fucked up. Look earlier in the thread, theres a pic of one entirely avoiding the bike path and riding on the road anyways. I wonder if it's just a cultural difference, like crossfit vs just going to the gym like a normal person

Cycling is great for fitness and health, and most people are obese or unfit.
That being said these Lycra cyclists tend to be extremely obnoxious, and anyone that thinks bicycles can replace cars is delusional.
I live in rural Europe and cyclist are not an issue because they don't share the road with cars, they share the road with pedestrians right next to agricultural fields.
Most people wouldn't despise them if they weren't so insufferable.

Everybody is wrong if your shit 3rd world infrastructure forces cyclists to use car lanes.
That said, there is some demonic possesion that takes place when someone puts on the spandex outfit. The last decade I see increasing amounts of these gays pedaling among cars with perfectly good bike roads next to them. And they are viscious creatures that will lash out on you if they think you've wronged them, and they don't realize traffic rules apply also to them.

I dont really mind, in most cases its just a matter of dropping speed by 10kph and moving over a metre or two.
What I really hate is when they are cycling on backroads and force people to slow down to 5kph. Even worse when the speed limit is meant to be 100kph+.

In London, I'd say 99/100 cyclists I see ride through red lights and across zebra crossings.

If I ever mysteriously gained omnipotence, I've worked out that the 3rd thing I would do would be to make it so that the second a cyclist rides through a red light, they break their leg. Just immediately, no accident, straight up snap. I fall asleep smiling to this thought.

it's usually completely safe for a bike to cruise through a redlight/crossing if they do it at low speed and check that everything is clear

if they didn't it would slow cars down a lot

Do you take a rest period in between cycling sessions? What do you usually wear when biking? Do you keep yourself well hydrated?
      >>dont do much cardio, but some
Well there's your problem (or at least one of them). Biking is pretty much an endurance sport. If your cardio sucks, then idk what to tell you.

None of this is intensive cardio, cycling and running will make you feel so out of breath within minutes that you can't even talk
Unless you regularly engage in that kind of cardio and can tolerate it you're going to suck at it
You also need to learn how to pace yourself. As a rule of thumb if you're getting to the point where your heart rate / breathing is so intense you can't even speak you need to back off or you will just burn out within minutes.

Only cars cause accidents. A 180 lb man on foot bumping into you won't even hurt you, and that same man moving at 12 mph on a 40 lb bicycle won't cause any permanent injuries. Car crashes kill tens of thousands of people a year and its the involvement of the car that makes all the difference.

Objectively false. If you're coming around a corner and you can't see a cyclist until it's too late, you could run into them completely on accident. Their body and their bike could lodge into your wheel well, locking up one of your tires, leading you to careening off of an embankment or directly into a power pole as a result. I've seen cyclists camp out on curved roads where the limit is around 45, but the curve is so sharp that you won't see them until a split second before you need to brake, even when going at or below the speed limit

No, I mean a specially designated path for cyclists which is physically separated from the road.
Pic related is a notorious example in my city, they'll completely ignore the bike path and then ride three abreast on the road, even swerving into the other lane without looking to get around parked cars.
It's different to a bike lane, which is a painted lane on the road which I also ride my motorbike down.

I only ride on the bike path, sometimes the bike lane(not seperated from cars/motorcycles).

I know a guy who regularly rides down this extremely busy eight-lane highway rather than use the asphalt bike path to the side.
              His explanation?
              >It's not conducive to riding fast, because it's too bumpy and has too many turns
Cyclists would rather slow down traffic for everybody else than bother to actually learn how to turn on their $10k bikes. I could comfortably ride down this at 100km/hr on my motorbike, but extremely gentle turns are too fucking hard at 20km/hr for cyclists.

The point I was trying to make is that the inverse doesn't necessarily apply. Cycling doesn't automatically make someone a pretentious asshole. They're a bunch of stuck up fags because that's how they are.
You only see pretentious assholes riding their bikes on the road because those are the guys that you notice. The rest of the cyclists are either on the bike lane or on some dirt road in the middle of nowhere.

Oh no, I don't mean to say that all cyclists are assholes. In fact in a lot of those places I've shown there will be cyclists riding on the bike paths. People getting fit, families having fun, just people enjoying a hobby. I love that, I think it's great. In fact I don't even mind the cyclists who ride on the road as long as they're the normal people riding normal bikes wearing normal clothing, because they're just using it as a method of transportation and don't act like assholes.

My family owns property right outside the park, like walking distance. It's a byway to get from 27 to our house, fag ass doctors and lawyers will come riding in huge packs of 30+ in the surrounding neighborhoods and cause general annoyance.
We let our dogs run around off leash (farm land) they aren't aggressive or nothin but they like to say hi to strangers
One dude threatened to call the pound on us bc my 40 pound dog was following him to close.

They come out there to get away from the noise of the city, which I understand, it's quiet out there but the excessively loud group rides of 30+ are obnoxious.
Also once a pack of them reaches 2+ car lengths you cannot safely pass without going really fast and endangering the safety of everyone involved.

Ive been down to Lafayette before. Wish I could afford property, I would start a farm down there.

I suppose you could say I've been a cyclist for years at this point. I've done multiple century rides, at a point I commuted to and from work by bicycle, I ride for fun and exercise at least once or twice per week during the warmer months.

I despise "cyclists" however. Almost every single one I've ever met who is an unabashed and self-described cyclist or cycling enthusiast is an extreme narcissist. They think that they own the road, they think that they're the most important thing in the universe. They have a persecution complex that drives them to intentionally put themselves in increasingly dangerous situations because they get a thrill out of playing victim. For a group of people who are extremely critical of the absolute slightest infraction from drivers, they do some of the most illegal and dangerous things on the road on a daily basis, from running stop signs like it's a religious rite to blowing through traffic lights, avoiding intersections on the sidewalk and crosswalks when convenient, going 20-30 mph slower than all traffic around them and pretending that it should be considered safe and normal, to weaving across multiple lanes without so much as a hand signal or indication it's about to happen so they can make a left across traffic with the aid of an arrow.

If you ever point out these things to them they become so very incredulous about their own responsibilities and things they do to frustrate drivers. Most of the time their hubris and smug feeling of righteousness is also deeply intertwined with some concept that they are doing the world a favor. Bicycles = good. "Look, I'm saving the planet by lowering pollution! I'm saving congestion on the roads by not driving a car! I'm lessening the obesity/health epidemic by being so healthy!" they chant to themselves. They like to feel as if they are morally superior to everyone around them.

This is why I don't talk to people about my cardio hobby. I don't want to be seen as one of them.

    My proposals for fixing cycling:
    >Mandatory (cheap) registration to ride on the road, solely so that dashcams can see your license plate if you commit any crimes
    >If there is a bike path available, you must use it
    >Mandatory hook turns at traffic lights, no changing lanes from the side of the road
    >A legal expectation in court cases that cyclists have to be as aware of their surroundings and the road rules as everybody else

    There, I just fixed cycling.

This is the real reason caggies seethe at people they ride a bike, they get fucked by the system and get mad when they see those pesky cyclists doing their thing without having to pay vassalage to the state. Riding a bike is experiencing childlike freedom so boomers, fatsos, waggies and karens get salty that they can't do the same with their shitbox so they feel the need to make people that are freer than them pay for their caggie sins.

No I'll not pay road tax, no I'll not give money to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Shell or Exxon, no I'll not insure my bike. yes I'll ride my bike on road, use the pathway, the sidewalk or the zebra crossing when beneficial to myself, yes I'll bring my bike on the train, yes I'll use the pump on gas station to inflate my tires and the water faucet to wash my bike. No I'll not ride on the gutter so you can overtake me easier. Yes I'll keep voting for tax money to be spent on bike infrastructure. No, it's not a shame if your car gets keyed 😉

        >too poor to afford a car
        >cope cope cope
Lmao. You could’ve just said so. Also it’s not like owning a car and bike are mutually exclusive

I have a car. Also my bike is probably worth more than your car.

What about left turns that aren't at lights? And I'm not a fan of registration, it's just not viable and wouldn't help anything. Cars today are so retardedly expensive and easy to damage I stopped caring when people whine about them.
      Also things I would add
      >must dismount and come to a complete stop if attempting to use a crosswalk from the road/bike lane
      >all road legal bikes must have front and rear lights, also turn signals yes fuck you make it work

      >Cars: "For comfort you need a big soft seat"
      >Motorbikes: "For comfort you need a big soft seat"
      >Bicycles: "Nah bro, you want the thinnest and hardest seat possible. You just need a hole for your taint, it's way more comfortable that way"

I like to get horny and tuck my boner under my legs when I bike; I then proceed to flex my cock muscles to raise my body off of the seat. I can manage around 3 sets of 8 now, and my dick makes laser noises whenever I ejaculate. However, I can't get girls pregnant because the velocity at which my semen escapes me will destroy and potential fertile eggs. It's a price of excellence I suppose.

Just get a fatbike/mountain bike+full sus and run a fat seat. Also more weight on the bars=less weight on your dick.
I used to ride everyday and didn't have any issues with my dick. If anything the cardio made it better.

      >Where do you see these people
most of the time in the inner city.

Yeah I avoid the inner city/downtown unless I have to. In those places most of the riders I see are poors or homeless.
I know I wouldn't ride down there. I have seen bike "collections" near the tents over there.
You have a good point about crossfitters. It's probably the same assholes in those gyms that would do the same shit on bicycles.
In that picture the dude is being an ass.

I often get an erection when I ride from gently rubbing my prostate on the seat lol
just perch on it and don't put all your weight down

going 5mph on a bike down a winding highway where everyone is expecting traffic to be at 55mph is putting me at risk of collision. Fuck your tight pants

The only people that hate cycling are fatties who look ridiculous in Lycra
Just face it. Wearing it is the closest thing you can get to being naked without actually being naked. The legs are on display and your fit body always turns heads from thirsty slots

I'm 31 and too anxiety-ridden, autistic, and shut-in to drive a car so I ride my bike everywhere. I don't wear any lycra or any of that, usually a t shirt and shorts with a backpack. I just ride alone and try my best to follow road rules and stay as far to the right as I can if there's no bike lane.

Its therapeutic because it creates a minimal moment of freedom that no authority signs off on. I ignore all signage and stop lights, constantly weave between traffic and install illegal lighting on my bike. Police never stop me because they know I can easily get away through an alley or park.

Public transit and driving in megacities is the most cucked form of travel. You only get to go when and where the city allows, cops can harrass you and you have yo listen to announcements, watch ads and sit next to morons.

I think all police, bus drivers and tube operators should be lynched and laid down for speedbumps that I will inevitably use as jumps on my bike
