Parkinson’s disease risk
i think i'll pass friendo but thanks anyways
>develop Parkinson’s disease risk
lol meant to say reduces Parkinson’s disease risk
Had to stop because of the teeth staining.
Go on without me, coffee-bros...
They can be removed anon.
What kind of cope is this? why would I remove all my teeth for some brown dirty water
>he doesn't rinse with water after drinking coffee
anon, do you know why they serve water with your black coffee in countries with a real coffee culture?
Coffee's main effect is inhibition of adenosine, a chemical involved in sleep. By shutting it down coffee makes you feel more wakeful. It's less that it gives you energy, and more that it removes tiredness.
Whenever you sleep, adenosine gets set to zero, and when you wake up it starts to accumulate slowly throughout the day. At one point there is enough adenosine in your system that it makes you sleepy (and things like the sun setting, temperature getting lower, ambient noise getting quieter increase the accumulation of adenosine).
As a response to coffee inhibiting the activity of adenosine, your body starts producing more throughout the day as well as sensitising the systems it interacts with. There is more of it, and it acts more strongly. You are tired throughout the day. And because your adenosine receptors have been bombarded all day, have been working all day, they are DESENSITIZED in the evening, when you actually need the adenosine to sleep.
You start sleeping worse, having trouble falling asleep, feeling worse the next day and needing coffee even more, and more, and more, and more.
Also coffee has a quarter-life of just over 12 hours. Even an 11am coffee can and will frick up your ability to fall asleep and your sleep quality.
That's just your adenosine. That's just your sleep. Coffee absolutely fries your dopamine receptors as well long-term in even worse ways.
Stay away from coffee.
is the damage reversible or are long-term coffee drinkers permanently fricked?
Long term have insomnia problems and really hard time quitting
>Also coffee has a quarter-life of just over 12 hours
The half life is 5-6 hours in adults. Nobody would measure or quote quarter-life.
>Nobody would measure or quote quarter-life.
Not him but it's relevant when even a bit of caffeine has big impact on your sleep quality
Drink 200mg caffeine and 12 hours later you still have 50mg in your system
>Nobody would measure or quote quarter-life.
Matthew Walker is pretty much the Einstein of sleep research. How dumb do you feel right now? kek
>the Einstein of sleep research
As a sufferer of sleep apnea / excessive daytime sleepiness and a coffee drinker, I notice absolutely zero change in sleepiness and tiredness when I drink coffee, there is absolutely no change when I stop drinking it.
The benefit I get from coffee is that it is synergistic with the stimulants im prescribed for my sleepiness and it helps wake me up. Again, when I stop drinking coffee I find absolutely zero benefit in regards to sleep quality or sleepiness.
I really don't think this guy knows what he's talking about, he's just a nerd that conducts research and has no clinical experience in treating sleep issues.
oh no, trouble sleeping and less pleasurable cooming

If that's the effect of caffeine then what about decaf coffee? All the benefits of coffee come from the high levels of antioxidants in it, assuming decaf has most of those then it sounds like a win-win.
yea this is nonsense. when you are adapted to your daily consumption of caffeine it does nothing to hinder sleep. that being said, its very advantageous in my experience to stick to highly filtered cold brew, as it doesnt contain many of the harmful nervous system raping compounds you find in typical coffee
I don't buy it
theres a bunch of observational studies that indicate moderate-heavy coffee consumption is one of the healthiest thinga out there
nobodys determined the mechanism of action yet though, most of the benefits are replicated in decaf drinkers
studies are paid for as marketing trick to make you think its healthy. coffee is bad. see
and
Compared to whom? Almost everyone drinks shitloads of caffeine, lots of morons do it with soda/energy drinks instead of coffee - which would is worse than coffee so coffee drinkers would be healthy by comparison
>literally
Coffee drinkers get the rope
you completely fell for marketing tricks and propaganda. yes they even use science papers to trick you into buying products.
The coffee bean is very toxic. it contains caffeine amongst a myriad of other detrimental compounds. it stains your teeth. it is addictive. and it reduces the blood flow to the brain by up to 40pct : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2748160/ . caffeine itself is neurotoxic and you can die from taking too much ( try eating 20mg of caffeine as suicide method ). its not hard to overdose on caffeine. a lot of drug users have overdosed on drugs cut with caffeine cause, not because of the drug but because of the caffeine.
Coffee constricts blood vessels. it makes you anxious, your body will start releasing adrenaline and others in response to consuming this toxin.
watch below video where they do an MRI scan on somone that consumed a cup of coffee, before and after. ~ 40pct blood flow reduction. pic related
https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-scotland-23210160
Coffee is absolutely shit and you should stay away from this crap.
Coffee constricts blood vessels so, it will negatively impact performance. (even though you might be able to push harder due to the rush/stimelating effect of adrenaline) your max output power on caffeine will be less.
>try eating 20mg caffeine as a suicide method
?
caffeine is NEUROTOXIC. you will die if you eat to much of it. and 10+ grams is too much of it.
That means jackshit, anything is toxic if you take too much of it and 10g is an insanely high threshold for a deadly dose. You would need to drink 100 cup of coffee (average cafeine per cup is 95mg) within 10 hours which is just ridiculous.
>stains your teeth
uh-huh
>addictive
no shit, name something that isn't addictive
>bloodflow
legit point
>neurotoxic overdose
uh-huh
>mix with drugs
thank god i'm not a fricking junky then
>blood vessels
okay
>performance
i live a sedentary lifestyle
i frequent this board because i have a lot of fun with you roiders
>i live a sedentary lifestyle
Clearly you don't give a frick about your health then, bimbo
I just don't like working out. Don't see much of a point in it either. No workout can keep you safe from a brain aneuryrism or other health problems. There are going to be health problems regardless of your diet and physical activity. That's just life.
Idiot
Okay
Nice strawman. You can't win at life, dude. I don't care to do my best nor my worst. I'll just do what's fine for me.
it's not a strawman, this is literally the point you're making. you're angry that being "perfectly healthy" is an impossible ideal so you won't even try to improve your own health. stop trying to get out of examining your own thoughts by saying other people are wrong.
>I'll just do what's fine for me.
nothing wrong with that statement, but you're not doing ANYTHING, which is the issue here
I'm not angry at anything. I just don't see the point in trying. Not like I eat junk food or deserts to spite my body. I prefer lean meats, fruits over candy, and making my own food rather than eating out. Never said you were wrong for pursuing what you do.
i guess?
>i can't get a 100% on my exam so instead i'll fail it on purpose to stick it in my own face
based moron taking "you are your own worst enemy" to a whole new level
>no shit, name something that isn't addictive
Anon is confusing addiction and dependence
You won't get cravings, but you can (and probably will) suffer physical withdrawal symptoms.
that's the word they used
what else was i supposed to call it?
>watch below video where they do an MRI scan on somone that consumed a cup of coffee, before and after. ~ 40pct blood flow reduction.
HOLY FRICK BRO
1 (ONE) MRI SCAN ON 1 (ONE) homie ?!?
HOW IS ANYONE STILL DRINKING THAT CRAP ?
>oh no reduces blood flow
wow anon thanks for saving me from this rare side effect that can be negated by 20 push ups
caffeine prevents alzheimers and dementia
*brutally mogs your path*
Facts, I put cayanne in coffee too.
Cayanne + vanilla is a top shelf combo.
>tastes like shit
>caffeine
I'll pass
>tastes like shit
KEK. The poorgay drinks that shitty supermarket stuff and thinks thats how coffee tastes like. Coffee is a bean inside a FRUIT anon. It is supposed to taste fruity like a dark heavy tea. If you can't taste something fruity, caramely or chocolaty, its garbage coffee.
>that shitty supermarket stuff
Not really. I've tasted some supposedly decent coffee and I didn't really like it
Maybe it's an acquired taste
like I said, you never had quality coffee.
>Coffee is a bean inside a FRUIT anon.
And? Lots of fruit seeds taste bitter and like shit, the plants don't like you destroying their seeds for sustenance
>the plants don't like you destroying their seeds for sustenance
Yes they don't like it because they are unable to like or dislike, it's a fricking plant.
Don't pretend to be moronic. Seeds and leaves have toxins to prevent them being eaten, it's the way of the plant to try and protect itself
It makes complete sense that coffee beans would be bitter
You said taste like shit, not bitter
If you genuinely think that bitter tastes are bad then I will ask you to leave as this is a 18+ website.
Bitter taste is bad and it's a warning that you're eating poison. Not my fault you trained your body to poison itself and enjoy it
>Bitter taste is bad
Get rid of your baby tastebuds, bro. It's embarassing.
>it's a warning that you're eating poison

I like eating hot peppers like habanero's and ghosts. Been eating them for years. So, by your study that contains a lot of may's, If's and probably's I should have already died like ten times right?
The study's conclusion agrees that bitter tastes, and it explicitely take coffee as an example, do attract people which completely contradict the idea that bitter=poison since we shouldn't like anything bitter in that case.
Bitterness is just a sign of toxicity in high doses. These doses may vary. I love coffee.
If bitterness was a sign of toxicity by default then humans wouldn't have evolved to enjoy bitter tastes, as shown by tea and coffee (among other things) popularity, this doesn't make sense.
it's an acquired taste
>If bitterness was a sign of toxicity by default then humans wouldn't have evolved to enjoy bitter tastes
Lol we didn't, you have to train yourself to enjoy bitter tastes.
ALL kids hate coffee, most vegetables, strong peppers, etc
did you even read this before posting it?
No.
>the plants don't like you destroying their seeds for sustenance
KEK. He doesn't know the difference between Arabica and Rubusta plants. Why is it always people that know nothing about coffee or those starbucks frappucino latte caramel piffipoefo gays that say coffe is bad for you and it tastes like shit?
Tesla warned about coffee and other stimulants like cigarettes and chewing gum. I stay away from all.
dude just had a bad run with cocaine
Why yes, it is good for you
I've been drinking coffee for 10 or so years
I mostly feel number than before and my doc told me i've got low blood pressure,so it might not be healthy
High blood pressure isn't healthy either
I take it without sugar, but taking it without low-fat milk? Too nasty
Was working an office drone job, some coworkers drank that shit every day and were zombies without it. They were also dogshit at their jobs, i will not be touching the mud juice, it's not for me.
Are pure caffeine pills just as good as coffee? I hate warm drinks and supplement it with caffeine pills
most of the benefits from coffee do not come from the caffeine, decaf coffee shows the same benefits
