    It’s just sugar. It’s healthier than candy, but that’s like being smarter than a downy. The only other thing you get from fruit is vitamin C, but glucose and vitamin C compete for uptake. If you don’t eat glucose you get enough vitamin C from animal sources.

      Ok, true but eating things like blueberries with relatively low carbs and a good source of vit c it can put you over that ratio youre implying. Fruit offers sugar, minerals, electrolytes, fiber, and the plants want you to eat it.

    I have a whole lemon with a handful of blueberries blended up in 250mil of water every morning. No other fruit and no other carbs outside of veg and plain oatmeal.
    I've not been ill once since starting this at the start of winter. Everyone around me has had the flu, colds, covid, whatever they call it. Some really nasty bugs have been around this winter, I've been directly exposed to all of them and caught exactly zero.

      Among captured monkeys maybe. Fat diabetics don't eat fruit. Have you ever watched them? They eat candy, soda, donuts and fast food almost exclusively. Fruit wouldn't even taste sweet to them.

    The only reason this food "divided fit" is because half of this board is populated by reactionaries and contrarians who think it's cool, manly, or perhaps inherently right to disagree with whatever most people agree with.     I thought it's pretty mainstream that fruits should only be consumed in moderation because they're sugary. (fruits that are low in sugar like guava and berries are a different story.

        Kiwi (AKA: Chinese gooseberry) is a berry, so is pineapple kind of. Grapes are 10/10 too, I forgot about them.
        Soursops are from South America. I had the chance to try one at a farmer's market. They taste like a mix between sour candy and a pineapple. Very tart and tasty. If you ever get the chance, try it. It literally just tastes like sour candy.
