    During workouts you tear the muscles. Literally, create microtears in muscle fibers.
    During rest and sleep you heal those tears. Once the muscle is healed, its bigger and stronger. Its like a scar that grows shut and healed spot becomes thicker, bigger.
    If you go every single day, you are sort of spinning the wheels, your muscle fibers haven't healed yet and returns are extremely diminished.
    You build your muscles during recovery post workout.

                My whole point was that you need to let your muscles recover before you hit them over and over again, hence "rest day".
                You are literally doing that with your 4 day split you absolute pillock. You can go every day if you really want to, but when you do compounds it's not like you completely isolate muscle groups that you will hit the next day.
                If you bench one day and ohp the next back to back, your tri's will feel the fatigue from previous day if you went hard enough.

                I said you need rest because tearing the same muscle over and over again is spinning the wheels.
                Read again, if you do major compounds, muscle groups overlap and you will feel fatigue if you keep going back to back. Example, Bench and OHP, chest day and next day shoulder day for example, tris will be still fricked from chest day.

                You have to have a very specific routine to go 7 days a fricking week and it still won't be optimal because you probably wont be hitting same muscle group 2-3 times a week doing that for maximum gains, you complicate something that is simple. Its much easier to just take a day off, let your body recover, let your cns fully recover and then go hard again.

                But yes, I'm a moron, because I'm wasting my life arguing with a tard whose whole argument is

        Maybe on a brosplit. On PPL or Upper Lower you need those rest days. 72 hours isnt enough for muscle group to rest completly. I know this from experience

    I go every day twice a day. Put on some pounds, so the first session is for the lift, and about 6 hours later a run. No fatigue or burn out, although I've been lifting for years. Just make sure to eat good and get good sleep.
