The higher the gear shift of a bycicle the less it's good for?

The higher the gear shift of a bycicle the less it's good for IST.

>Why?
Because u have to use much more muscle power for the same distance when the gear shift is low.

a cyclist on a bike lane means its not in the middle of the road
it also means one less car causing traffic

No. You use the gears to stay in a comfortable rpm, about 60-80.

You gays have no idea what your talking about, especially the moron who says peddle at 60 rpm. If you want to make gains while cycling he a power meter and use it to track your max power at different intervals, 5 seconds, 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour ect. The gear you are in is the gear you can make the sustained effort at 90-100 rpm. This is dependent on things like elevation change, wind ect. If you can max out above 1000 watts and hold 300 for 30 minutes your pretty good.

Low cadence is the most obvious sign of a dyer(do you even ride)

You're fricking moronic if you pedal at 100 rpm. 60 is too low, but 100 is too high. Granted it's depends a bit on the rider, but 70-80 is where it's at.

Your simply wrong. Like it's not even a debate or anything. Look at pro's rides on Strava if you don't believe me. They will average 90+ rpm over a 5 hour tour de france stage. Hour record attempts are usually at like 110 rpm.
