The only reason I even lift is because I want to be less lonely.

The only reason I even lift is because I want to be less lonely. I don't care about "making it" I just want to not have to live my life alone.
It's been 8 years of lifting and it hasn't helped at all.

Recommend better lifts.

What I do is treat lifting heavy weights as a self-harm replacement method, where instead of cutting myself I just lift so hard till my muscle fibers start breaking.

The lonelier I feel more muscle fibers I break.

This is how it works for me
When I lift, I always try to go through the day and punish myself on every mistake that I made

Is there any point in living life as an Incel? I’ve never had a woman show interest in me, I’m age 20. I don’t think I’m ugly people say I’m 5/10 but I’m 5’7, and not very sociable. Everyone just thinks I’m weird i don’t know why

the bad feelings go away eventually. either you do the self improvement stuff and reintegrate yourself into society or you stop giving a shit.

Why not? I will more than likely die as a kissless virgin and I still think life is good

      >people say I’m 5/10
Why would people "say" you are 5/10? Did you ask them or say that you are ugly in front of them, or showed your insecurities?
If you did, no wonder they think you're weird

Imagine being so obsessed with women that you think your life has no meaning aside from being in a relationship with a woman.
Make some friends, find some hobbies, make stuff, go to church. The possibilities are endless.

      >I’m age 20
You're SO YOUNG. You don't understand this but you're literally a child.
Pro tip: Go to school for a subject that interests you. Besides maybe getting a career out of it it's meetings girls on easy mode

My fat, out of shape, incredibly average bro just got his first girlfriend at 33. She's ten years younger than him and pretty attractive too.

    >IST, the thing I did to solve a problem isn't working.
    >I've been doing it for a long time without leaving my comfort zone, and it hasn't solved the problem.
    >Please tell me how to slightly adjust the thing that isn't working so that I don't have to leave my comfort zone. I'm sure it will work this time.
    >Therapy? Leaving my comfort zone? Trying something new? No thanks. Sure, it might work, but it's SCARY!

Have y'all ever considered that what you call shyness or hopelessness might just be ego?
That maybe your anxiety over how others perceive you is just a coward's version of vanity?

You can be completely perfect and still fail if you have every possible disadvantage, after all. Is blaming something external just your way of hanging on to the hope that you don't need to change?

Sounds like it could be seen as a good thing, honestly. It's a lot easier to build a good habit than it is to break a bad habit.
Get some therapy, look for local meetups, build yourself back up. Just because you won't be a rock star doesn't mean you can't have a good life. Perfect is the enemy of good.
