    It kills me because it's accidentally correct. Less sets is harder sets. Harder sets is a better physique. The number of reps means doesnt matter.

      10s are slightly better for hypertrophy than 5s. You need a heavy load, but you also need sufficient volume, which can be harder to get with loads that are too heavy.

    I do 3x5 on the main compound lifts (bench, ohp, Pendlay rows and deadlift) then go for 3x12 (or failure on my last sets) on accessories (lateral side raises, reverse flys, dumbbell curls, dumbbell incline bench, calf raises, etc).
