If you have a Costco nearby, then buy the whole chickens. Otherwise, just buy bulk beef and let things sort themselves out for a while.

I just bought boneless, skinless from Costco in Southern CA for $2.89/lb. In Summer 2021, it was $1.97/lb.

Also, didn't take a picture but boneless, skinless thighs were $2.31/lb.

Yeah prices at Costco have exploded. I let my membership expire.

I just looked at an old receipt from June 2021, boneless, skinless chicken thighs were $2.16/lb. Much smaller increase compared to breasts. Costco membership is still absolutely worth it to me for car batteries, tires, gas, dairy and meat and seafood.

I pay $13.99 per kilogram of chicken breast. It works out to $6.35 per pound. Americans have it so easy. Even when things are expensive they're cheap, just like gas.

I buy bone on skin on anyway, unless BLSL is on sale. The meat is cheaper after adjusting for bone and skin weight, I never have to buy cooking oil because of fat running out of the skin, and the bones can be slowcooked into broth.

Like 60% sure this is a joke post, but how is pigeon? I've heard it's similar to red game meats in taste and texture.

    I trap domestic cats

I use fish oil as bait and trap cats in my neighborhood. It is a great meat, oily but without localized fat. I get a little upset about the wanted posters, but I try not to think about it too much. I recommend wearing gloves to dispatch the cat

Why even buy steak, people make it out to be some type of heavenly tasting food, it tastes a bit better than chicken but its definitely not worth the fricking price. Also its not as lean as chicken so realistically its moronic to even eat steak unless you're rich and bulking.

I don't buy this shit anymore. It's unethical. Future generations will look back at factory farming the same way we look at the slave trade today.

Granted, future generations will be able to grow synthetic meat in a lab, so it's easy for them point fingers, but still.

    shoplift from big chains
it's even easier if your store has self-checkout. scan some of your shopping and casually bag the rest after you've paid. this is how I stay rich as an international student subsisting on gimmies from parents.

I go to a place that has bins you can bag and weigh out protine powder. Like $11 per pound. I fill the bag up to like 5lbs.

Using the self check out I "accidentally" place half of it off the scale. Clumsy me.

      >TOTAL $23.56

What you gonna do wagie? check it and weigh it for me?

rookie move. Most places with self checkout have a scale on the register and a scale in the bagging area and if the two don't match it sets off an alarm for a wagie to go check your bags

The real way to do it is to ring up your expensive items as cheap produce. 3lb chuck roast going for $9/pound? Oops more like 3lbs of apples for $1/pound.

Works fine to cut up rotisserie chicken for salads. I use it to make spanish rice, but it doesn't replace uncooked chicken for meals. If you boil the bones and left over meat it makes a good soup.

~~*Their*~~ goal is to outprice everyone. Unless you are part of the rich elite forget about meat in 20 years. They’ll start taxing animal products like crazy with the “it’s not eco-friendly” excuse until you eat the söy and the bugs.
When your average chicken breast costs 30$ we’ll see if you keep buying it.
