When you say cold showers, do you mean literally as cold as possible? Even during the winter?
Because it doesn't even feel like I rinsed off any dirt/sweat from my pores when it's that cold, feels like my entire skin just closes up from the cold. I only use cold water at the end of my shower, showering in cold water exclusively seems silly

as much as I appreciate cold showers, taking them straight after an exercise is tiring for exhausted muscles that seek neutral temperature. Same goes for drinking cold water during workout.

    >workout
    >arteries are dilated to maximize muscle repair and recovery
    >I know, snap them shut with a cold shower force as much blood and nutrients away from the muscles as possible
I'm dubious about cold showers at any time, but post workout is legit the dumbest possible time to take one.

warm water breeds bacteria and you will stink faster if you take hot showers compared to cold. Main reason why I switched.

I've been out 9 years and I still exit the shower looking like a lobster. I don't care if cold water is better or healthier.

    >cold shower after lifting
    >mental discipline
A cold shower when you're hot feels better than a hot one.
It would take discipline to be cold and do it anyway.
