There’s a phenomenon amongst contemporary Normie women called “the hot girl walk” they basically flex that they’re going on a walk as a healthy habit. My question is, is walking even that good for you ? I do a lot of strength training but I don’t really do cardio. Am I missing out ?
Ape Out Shirt $21.68 |
It is, it’s just not strenuous enough to make significant gains unless they’re hiking trails.
Walking and jogging isn’t about making “gain” it’s about being more healthy.
Running just once a week doesn’t give you gains but the health benefits are transformative.
IST is not actually a fitness bird because most people here don’t regard something as IST unless it results in hypertrophy or increasing 1rm.
It's heart gains bruv
imagine saying this unironically and then not understanding lifitng heavy gives you better benefits.
Walking is great. I love long walks. It's especially good for you mentally. Don't listen to music/podcasts and let your thoughts run free.
>Let your thoughts run free
One step, another step, one more step, another step, don't step in that dog poo, another step.
Based mouthbreathing manual walker.
Solution to that is more walking! It's like a brain cleansing, you have to let all that shit out before the mental calm sets in.
Do longer walks and let that inane bullshit noise just run its course.
another step, oh great theres a dog off the leash, another step oh shit here it comes
"Frick I am Chad haha. Remember the time I did that thing? Everyone loved it, fun as frick haha. Ohhh, look at that girl's assss, literally built for BBC, and me! Hahaha. Fuk, I look shredded in that shop window, mirin' myself hard brahhh"
This is how you do it.
I literally enter a day dream trance like state when I'm walking somewhere longer than 5 minutes and often realize solutions to my work and general life problems.
I prefer to stop thinking
exactly. plus a million other intrusive, annoying thoughts about bullshit minutiae
>I need to send that email when I get back, also pay the water bill, what do I want for dinner tonight? damn I need to go to the store and get some beef for that... Frick I'm almost out of shampoo too, also have to fix that slow leak in one of my tires, damn is she staring at me? Do i look weird right now? I should probably get a hair cut. That old couple over there is looking at me like I'm some scummy teenager even though I'm almost 30, fricking why? Frick, there's probably going to be traffic on the way home, I should probably take a shit before I go. You know my ex was right about almost everything, damn I wish my parents weren't dead
It's like a mundane version of American Psycho without all the murder. And it never fricking ends, it's helpful but I'm my happiest with my brain turned off, and I consider myself reasonably intelligent.
I don't think much anymore for that same reason. Now I keep my brain to solving issues, and leave it off for the rest of the time.
Kek.
>people sitting at a bench
>you walk past
>oh frick are they looking at me? Why do they stare so much? Do I walk funny or something? How do I even look when I walk? Do my feet point outward too much? Maybe walk a bit more like this then. Oh frick how do I walk again. One feet in front of the other don't stumble
this, but i know i have a funny walk. regardless, walking is fricking great and the only things close are swimming and cycling. breathe the free air.
>I consider myself reasonably intelligen
It's not about inyelligence, if you can't stand to be alone with yourself and reflect a little, that's a definite sign of a weak sense of self and maybe narcissism.
>but I'm my happiest with my brain turned off
Take the snooze pill. Sleep it all way bro.
Or drink.
Or actually deal with your issues, look inside and confront yourself.
Life's hard man.
I used to have violent intrusive thoughts and harm thoughts for a couple months, if you don't know it's those random thoughts you have of jumping when you're in a high place or stabbing your loved ones, but constantly and for seemingly no reason. I hated life and lived in fear until I decided to go outside and join in on walks with my sister. It was probably the best cure for being afraid of every little thing in the world since you go out and realise there is very little to be afraid of. Being in nature is also just calming, since your so focused on your changing surroundings you can't ever spiral on any one thing. Unironically considered suicide at some points and doctors that I spoke to were only able to listen to me rant over the phone because of covid. Some other stuff helped, but walking outside was a big help. Thanks walks.
thanks for reminding me I'm out of shampoo
>he hasn't taken the nopoo pill yet
Keep giving Mr Shekelstein your money.
yeah i have OCD intrusive thoughts too, it fricking sucks
running seems to help a lot
>let your thoughts run free
if I did this I'd just be a raging lunatic constantly rambling about steel beams and bohemian groves, not sure how it would affect my prospects with women
Very true fren. There's nothing like going for a walk on a nice nature trail by oneself with one's own thoughts. It is fricking clean
>Don't listen to music/podcasts and let your thoughts run free
Unironically did this on a long drive home and had a panic attack
Christ. You need the silence brother
No, you can't count walking as activity. You're supposed to be walking literally all day just to be normal. Adding a 30-minute walk is not exercise. This is why when fatasses add walking to their routine it never does anything. It's like saying washing yourself is an achievement.
VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM *BARK BARK BARK*VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Not everyone is an urban homosexual
Walking are definitely amazing for you mentally and get your thoughts in order.
However there are times you might wish to listen to a podcast or audiobook just as an easy way to get through stuff you otherwise mightn't be inclined to. I admire the thoughts running free thing at times, but as some people note if they let their thoughts run free it's fricking all over. A third alternative would be to start walking with something important in mind you want to think out, like planning something so you have a goal in mind. Allowing your mind wander completely you can end up not really thinking anything at all other than maybe twitter arguments.
Every normal gay at the gym has their headphones on and blasting. So you hear annoying tinny ticking noises all timed randomly moving about the space. I tried listening to music but it was tedious to have something in my sweaty ears sloshing around. This is an aspect I think most fail to realize is so rewarding about lifting is the focus, and concentration. It's difficult to maintain with a bunch of Black person trap beats going on. Why do they even bother?
If you don't do cardio then yes walking will benefit you greatly, as it would the majority of people. Understand though that yeah it isn't very taxing so maybe add in some more rigorous stuff like jogging/running or any other form of cardio you can do intensely.
I go for a walk with my dog twice a day about 20 mins each time
Normies are stupid. Again, something which people did every day like 40 years ago is now a trend. This is of course an export from America, where people drive place to place so the thought of a nice stroll is unfathomable to some.
Strolling from place to place is for city "people". Now having said that I take alot of long walks in the woods on my property when I have the chance.
Walking is the single best thing you can do for fitness and longevity god literally gave you two legs to walk you moronic homosexual
>moronic homosexual proceeds to walk on a treadmill or during the hottest time of the day
>Wtf where's the longevity? Thanks for the skin cancer.
The right amount of sunlight during a walk is healthier than stuffing your face with supplements.
Do women ever think about something other than themselves?
Very few and very rarely.
wrong board to point out self obsession
also people in general are selfish and love talking about themselves, welcome to life
the only reason you posted this is because of your dissatisfaction with your incompatibility with women which is as much a self-centered thought as anything you think women think about.
Its a trend which enables them to post their body on instagram in hopes that the Chad they have their eye on, but they'll never approach, will like the photo. Thats it.
Idk why incels on this board are so convinced that’s why women post pictures of themselves. I actually don’t give a frick when men like my posts. It makes me happier when my female friends do.
Yeah, same. Thirsty morons are a given but girl mires are best mires, for any gender
>I post selfies of myself wearing form fitting skin tight clothing that specifically sucks in my gut while padding my ass and breasts for my girlfriends eyes only you silly boys!
Nobody’s buying it sweetheart.
Still, your constant flexing of your fat deposits and moron opinions 99% of the time is enough to hold you in disdain by default.
thats because you're an ugly femcel
why are you posting here and not catcafe if you don’t care what men think? Oh wait yeah because nobody gives a frick about the opinions of women especially women
Kek exactly.
>I care about the opinions of my girls only teehee
>required by her broken dopamine reward system to go on a male dominated forum to make her own opinion known to anonymous people who literally couldn't care less
>he thinks likes from females means they see him as a girl
ywnbaw
Will you just SHUT THE FRICK UP
yes anon going outside and breathing better air is good for you
going for a walk is probably not good for you in most of india and pakistan
Man as people get weirder and more artificial they're going to make "things" out of more and more normal stuff.
"Yeah, check this out - I'm drinking WATER - UNIRONICALLY!!"
this is probably gonna turn out to be true in like 10 years
lord help us
>youtube channels about water filters and meme €50 imported spring water
I can see it, has happened with alcohol and coffee before. First the quality of the normal offering gets hollowed out by the accountants, then "gourmet" shit enters the scene at 3x the price.
It has already happened and it was surprise surprise : in reddit. There was a sub called /waterhomies where people would post pictures of their waterbottles or what ever. It got deleted though for containing the word "homie".
Reddit moment
It was rebooted under the name HydroHomies
It’s essentially at that point already. People at work call me the water guy because I drink a healthy amount of water throughout the day. Here in the Midwest, everyone is a fat frick who guzzles pop all day every day.
>durr is walking good for you
dumb ass Black person
>I don’t really do cardio
You really should, cardio strengthens your heart. You don't want to have a weak heart. Getting the heartrate up is a crucial part of exercise. Try HIIT or boxing as fun forms of cardio so you're not walking on the treadmill like a fricking normie
The colon is the third most underutilised punctuation mark, behind only the dash and the semicolon.
For example: "My question is: Is walking even that good for you?" Perfect opportunity for a colon, and I hate to see it missed.
Basically, whenever you are actively referencing something, you can use a colon. If you're referencing something someone is saying: "Then Anon said:". If you're referencing a question you have: "My question is:". And, evidently, if you're referencing examples of referencing where using a colon would be appropriate.
As far as your question goes, walking is a part of any balanced fitness regime. There's this thing called "the walking gait" that are only supplemented by strength training and cardio, the only way to truly train and improve it is by walking.
Not that anon but i will comma splice all i want and there's nothing you can do to stop me, suck it
>ohhh I just love men's colons mmmmmmm nomnomnom
>t. brainlets aiding & abetting the destruction of the language by joggers
based
lol no. I speak like 4 languages and just don't think that a senegalese ball squeezing diary needs any turd polishing
Let me ask you this: why are you so interested in grammar, sir?
I am a writer by trade.
What do you write?
>inb4 manuals
gay erotic fiction
also gay erotic nonfiction
I'm a copywriter. Nothing fancy, but it pays well. $55 AUD per hour.
Apparently Bezos pays competent writers hundreds of dollars an hour, but I'm not sure how to apply for that job (like, executive level memo and email writing).
Thanks for the english lesson but I'm here to jerk off to softcore pornography.
I have hated grammar since elementary school.
this is what never leaving the anal stage does to a homie
how do I use a semi colon
Like this:
```
if (this.user.lifts) {
console.log("no he doesn't");
return false;
} else {
console.log(of course he doesn't");
return false;
}
```
how do I make biltong
File "doeshelift.exe", line 6
console.log(of course he doesn't")
SyntaxError: unpaired "
Too long
Console.lol(this.user.lifts ? "No, he doesn't" : "of course
he doesn't")
Return false
Also imagine typing ; instead of getting the linter janny to do it for free.
Imagine using a C derived language in 2022
>Also imagine typing ; instead of getting the linter janny to do it for free.
kek
cant have a line break in a regular string, numbnuts. also "Return" is not the keyword, there is no capital. Also missing semicolon and Console shouldn't be capitalized either. lol is not a property on the object.
semicolons result in less errors because there are some cases where you need them because it can be ambiguous. it should all eventually be minified anyways (with semicolons) before served up to the client given that it's FE code. so avoiding semicolons technically doesn't help efficiency.
I phone posted it, which explains everything you pointed out. console.lol especially was a -joke-.
If you left a review on my PR saying this inane shit, I would smash you through your gay standing desk you fricking spastic
lol that’ll give you an error message
git gud scriptkiddie
You don’t
>t. Kurt Vonnegut
nirvana sux
they are hermaphrodites
Yeah, I love Breakfast of Champions; almost as much as I love semicolons.
See above: The ideas are fairly independent, but connected enough that maybe you feel uncomfortable totally ending the sentence. Although, in fairness to Vonnegut, either a hyphen, comma, or period will always be able to substitute a semi-colon, and they don't really make much sense in terms of them being named after, but functionally unrelated to, colons.
Also, speaking of, I threw out half a book because of his stupid rules for good fiction writing. I think it's better off for it, but still kind of a bummer. Basically, I had this whole build up to explain the MacGuffin, and I realised that I could really start closer to the end (one of his rules), so I threw away the background and now it just starts with a phone call about the MacGuffin that kick starts the action of the plot.
Vonnegut was far from a primadonna, and therefore I think a lot is owed not only to his humility as an author, but to Knox Burger, one of his early editors. Knox Burger, basically, was a literary agent who hated reading, so if you came to him with rambling bullshit he'd tell you to trim the fat.
Thanks: In never really knew how to use it properly.
I put my semi in your mother's colon
There's viagra for that, anon
>Perfect opportunity for a colon, and I hate to see it missed.
But he did post one hell of AN colon
>Basically, whenever you are actively referencing something, you can use a colon.
See: 80% of OPs
>underutilised punctuation mark
when I was still young and in highschool I always used colon to enumerate things, as I wasnt able to form more complex sentences and this way I didnt to too much mistakes. I still keep this belief that using colons too much is uncouth
>I didn’t to too much mistakes
>As far as your question: walking is a part of any balanced fitness regime. There's this thing: "the walking gait" that is only supplemented by: strength training and cardio, the only way to truly train and improve: walking.
fixed it for you 🙂
A surprising amount of anons fail to use the semicolon too; just put those independent clauses together moron.
>semi-colon
I love that little homie like you wouldn't believe; I get to continue my thoughts fluently without being a comma-splicing jackass like
.
Use a semi-colon when you have two independent clauses that you want to join.
Not him but you could always just use a dash instead of a semicolon. I never use semicolons as I think it can look a bit pretentious sometimes.
Yes, Walking is excellent
Yeah you are. 10 000 steps a day is the key to getting shredded. The only downside of it is that it's time consuming.
Other than that it's easy, you don't burn out. Such effortless way to add another 300-400 kcal to your deficit. Basically you don't even need to go on a diet, you can eat your "normal" TDEE then just add 10 000 steps to that to reach a solid 300-400kcal cutting deficit.
>I do a lot of strength training but I don’t really do cardio. Am I missing out ?
Even the Westside powershitters tell you to do cardio. So yes
Walking is great, running is even better. You have two legs, they weren't just made to hang off your bench while you press weights. Ever since I read that suicide note by a quadriplegic I can't stop walking everywhere.
Mind sharing that note?
>i used to be able to walk
>now i can't and i'm sad
>don't take ur legs for granted
>There’s a phenomenon amongst contemporary Normie women called “the hot girl walk” they basically flex that they’re going on a walk as a healthy habit. My question is, is walking even that good for you ?
What does the former statement, 'hot girl walk', have to to with the latter question, 'is walking even that good for you ?'
Nothing, absolutely nothing.
c**tpolitics just lives inside your head rent free.
Your body is made for standing and walking. Not running and jumping, not carrying engine blocks either. Just walking, it's the easiest way to get a high protein meal, just walk that animal down.
cardio is obviously and of course good for you
but moving creates an interesting effect in the brain and especially peripheral movement that suppresses your fear receptors and makes you psychologically more relaxed
so there is a less obvious benefit but any exercise with movement can do that.
Taking a daily walk is incredibly good for you. Not necessarily for gains but it's a break in your sedentary lifestyle and is great for your mental health and happiness. We all know the benefits of touching grass after all.
When I take walks all I see are degenerate women, fat people, and black people. It's soul-crushing.
I doubt that walks in themselves can evict the people living rent free in your head but perhaps they can help by getting you away from IST for a while. Hell, I'll go for a walk right now. You should too.
find a better place to walk. I'm not joking/memeing, I mean you really should find a nice place to walk if you can.
Nice. What do you write?
This is going to sound a bit autistic (in the IST sense of the word) but I downloaded scans of grammar books and started going over them. I just study a couple pages a day but it's entertaining and informative.
Women nowadays are all fat lazy c**ts that need 2 cups of coffee before even leaving their disgusting unkempt apartments to go slave away for Mr Shekelestein then go home and nap for 2 hours because they eat dogshit for food that they believe is healthy, then maybe take a walk after another cup of coffee and they think that is exercise because they're so fricking fat and disgusting and lazy. Walking is literally a normal bodily function like taking a shit, it's not exercise. If your heart rate goes up from walking on level terrain then you're a fat fricking pig and you should stop fricking eating
Women get into a full kit of active-wear for literally anything, even if it's getting brunch at a cafe
long walks of an hour+ lead to amazing metabolic adaptations that will reduce frailty in older age and increase longevity
If you could do one thing, walking is probably the best, then you only need like 20 minutes of resistance training 3x a week to reap most of the health benefits from resistance training.
This. My grandpa started to take long walks everyday when he retired in his sixties and he’s 90 now.
i'm woooking
>reduce frailty in older age and increase longevity
Can confirm, had two centenarian great grandparents that walked a lot
Why are they trying to hide the walkpill from us bros???????
THEY WANT YOU IN YOUR ROOM MASTERBATING TO PORN PLAYING VIDEO GAMES NOT QUESTIONING THE CURRENT ECONOMIC SYSTEM. JUST CONSOOM. NO MONEY TO BE MADE IN WALKING.
I got rangebanned by a girl I like because she heard me say walking is not an exercise
Yeah, walking really isn't exercise unless you do something like wear heavy weighted clothes, wander through actually harsh terrain, or go for something like 16 hour ultramarathon distance walks.
t. a 29 year old woolker who just finished a 3 hour woolk with his dog
homie are you trying to gatekeep walking? The one single universal activity available to anyone with two feet?
>walking really isn't excercise
Holy shit, this is peak brainrot.
Don't listen to this spastic.
When we say "exercise" we mean an activity done expressly for the purpose of training the body. For someone who sits down in front of a screen for 16 hours a day and then sleeps the rest, then yes, walking is now an """exercise""", but the whole point is, it really fricking shouldn't be an exercise, and that it's pathetic that it constitutes exercise for some people. Imagine being such a piece of shit that a normal bodily function is something you call exercise.
>Yeah bro I'm about to do some training by walking to the toilet and forcing out a shit log, gotta get my exercise in for the day
Look how low we've sunk for fricking WALKING to be considered "exercise". If you're gonna call literally any activity that involves motion of the body "exercise" then the word loses meaning, which, it seems, is what morons like to do with all words and then get mad when you correct them because muh gatekeeping is bad.
Nobody was talking about walking to and from a toilet you fricking moron. We were expressly talking about walking long distances.
Which is an excercise regardless of your subjective opinion on what excercise is.
You are wrong.
>Nobody was talking about walking to and from a toilet you fricking moron
Yes, I know. I brought it up. Sorry, I thought it was clear that I brought that up for the purpose of demonstrating how stupid the kind of reasoning that makes taking a short walk an "exercise" by taking it into a more ridiculous extreme. It might not even be that ridiculous because there are probably plenty of people whose only walking is getting up to eat and take a shit most days.
What we are talking about, in this thread, is women bragging about going for leisurely strolls, dressed up in plastic athletic clothing. And we're talking about anon (
)
who was given the silent treatment by someone when he told them their walking was not exercise. I think we can all reasonably assume that this person who got buttblasted wasn't going on 20 mile treks. Which we'd all agree is basically exercise.
Even so, bear in mind that before we had cars and all that, people probably walked 5 to 10 miles a day, every day. Today we'd call 10 miles an exercise for sure, but in the past that would be quite normal.
Yesterday I walked about five miles, not for exercise, but because I needed to go somewhere, and my car was in the shop, and no buses went where I needed to go. I don't consider that exercise. And if we collectively do consider what is a normal and healthy amount of walking to be "exercise" then that is not a good sign. Hope you understand what I meant now
>we can all reasonably assume that this person who got buttblasted wasn't going on 20 mile treks
I'd say she does 6 km being generous, I can walk 1 km every 10 minutes at a normal pace
I'm a marathoner and also practice weighted marching, I probably should have kept my mouth shut
is that she is in total condition of running, it's fear of running out of air
Even in ancient greece and rome writers like galen understood walking as an exercise. Walking up a hill is mentioned as a "strength" exercise as it will build leg muscles if you hike over varied terrain with many inclines. How it this hard to understand
walking up a hill is way different than stacy and becky walking for half a mile taking photos of themselves the whole way. An exercise in narcissism, perhaps.
Not sure if you're defending the thots or arguing semantics here. I hope it's the latter because we should all agree that people celebrating a short walk is pretty moronic.
I am not doing either. You said walking is not an exercise, and walking can encompass many things such as walking up hills. What the thots do is a less intense version of this exercise
What level of autism is this? Frick. What incline, added weight, distance, purpose, heart rate, weather pattern, age of the walker, or terrain constitutes exercise to you? More importantly, who gives a frick if a certain activity is counted as exercise? Just be happy that otherwise sedentary lards are doing it.
>is walking even that good for you
yes it's very underrated, you're not a fully functioning human being if you can't walk for a few hours easily.
>I do a lot of strength training but I don’t really do cardio. Am I missing out ?
Yes if you don't do any cardio you're a pussy
>caring about women
30 minutes walk every day is the single most impactful implementations of exercise one can make.
>oversized bosom
>Is walking good for you?
Überzozzel
i like walking enough that i bought toe shoes
My gf doesn't work out
I've got her to do yoga and cardio a couple of times but that was it
I suggested walking
Now we walk a few times a week
She even suggests it sometimes
I signed us up for the Y
It's my first day but I'm procrastinating by shitposting on IST
Walking is just the healthy choice over driving or taking the elevator because moving your body is a lot better for you than sitting. It’s not strenuous enough to be cardio and it’s pretty inefficient. Like you can walk and burn roughly 100kcal a mile, 3mph, without really raising your heart rate much. If you want cardio then you can run or bike, get your heart rate high, and burn the same amount of calories in less than half the time. It’s also pretty boring to walk by yourself, but if you have a friend or family member to go with then it’s a lot of fun. Hiking is different of course, every vertical foot climbed takes roughly as much energy as walking a dozen feet horizontally.
> My question is, is walking even that good for you ?
Yes, extremely. We evolved as nomads walking everywhere all the time.
>I do a lot of strength training but I don’t really do cardio. Am I missing out ?
If you're doing no cardio at all, yes, you are. Walking in general is a great destressor and meditative on it's own, let alone the health effects. You're built to walk. Go do it.
>is walking even that good for you
Is water good for you?
Are israelites good 4 u?
Walking is the best, anon.
You start out doing a few km per day, you get through the first weeks or blisters etc and settle into a groove.
Before you know it you are
>burning a ton of calories
>getting through lots of audio books
>connecting with albums
>just listening to nature
>learning your city layout
>exploring nearby forests and rivers
>finding calisthenics parks surprisingly near your house
>redefining periodically what constitutes "surprisingly near your house"
>meditative wandering
>sunmaxxing
>running for a couple of km in the middle
>going shirtless on hot days
>getting free, steady flow of mires from teen girls whose parents forced them to go hiking
>seeing them realise that actually hiking might be based if there are guys like anon into it
Before long you are doing 20km any given evening, and suddenly you can run 5k, then 10k, then 22k without ever training to run. Walking is unbelievably based and I wish more anons would do it.
Oh, and when you get home you have 2000 new calories to either eat or put toward your cut.
For me, it's Walking.
why are there so many nonces on IST?
Imagine asking if going outside is good for you
>literally the most fundamental human movement
>ancestors spend 5 million years walking fricking everywhere
>even in the bronze age/iron age/middle ages people still walked most of their lives
Instead of asking whether walking is good for you, consider how it might be bad for you to not walk as much as your body is expecting of you.
how is this even a question. Any person who has walking as a daily habit somehow, someway always end up really healthy when they get old.
I wonder if the two are correlated? Probably not, better just sit inside, play video games and eat goyslop.
>my face when Americans consider walking "exercise".
Maybe not here, but I see it a on normie shitholes like Reddit or Youtube. They literally say shit like "start with walking xx minutes a day", context being how to get fit.
cringe
pic rel outfit is cringe aswell
she just looks goofy
walking is the only exercise you need to be healthy
You probably should do some cardio, but waddling on the street is not that great. It's better than never doing anything (sitting at a desk and not even getting up can kill you in under 48 hours), but basically we've gotten to the point as a hypersedentary society that doing anything beyond walking to your car is like a gold star exercise moment
Walking is great for your health. You're built to walk long distances. Frick normie women though. They think everything they do is revolutionary and amazing.
I've gone from 187 to 160 lbs without changing my diet simply by walking at least an hour every day over the last four months. It's also massively improved my mental health.
just went for a quick 2 mile walk. feels nice but since I work as a waiter I walk 10 miles or more every work shift anyway. The benefit of a nice walk is more from sunlight and relaxing than anything else
I have been walking to and from school since the age of 6. We are talking an hour of walking ~8000 steps a day for ~15years. My university is an hour away, so now-a-days I walk 2 hours ~15000 steps a day.
What do I have to show for it? Hardly anything. Mostly developed calves, and I will admit everything below the belt feels and functions great, but believing that starting today 30mins of walking is going to do wonders for your body is wrong unless you are an absolute lardass.
Walking is barely an exercise and all it does for me now is minimal mental benefits
Stop walking everywhere for a while and see what happens. You are just maintaining that which you have already gained, which is massive.
they better turn that walk into a sprint when I'm around if you know what I am saying
I like walks. Nice to be out in nature. You get time to think.
It’s not really exercise but it’s not “doing nothing” either. It’s only going to benefit people who are really out of shape
holy shit thank you OP
i go for walks regularly and started inviting some of my classmates to join me. now i finally know what the frick they mean they say this shit
Kek
>women
at it again
Just go for a walk when you wanna, don't make a big deal out of something your body literally evolved to do and needs to do in order to stay healthy
Does anyone go on walking EXPEDITIONS? Every Sunday I go on a 10 hour walk.
yeah i live in New York and regularly spend weekends just walking around going to different places
easily hit 20k steps
I don't have time for shit like that but I wish I did 🙁
>Every Sunday I go on a 10 hour walk.
checked and holy based
It actually is. Walking 10,000 steps a day is conservatively 250 calories a day. Over the course of a month that’s equivalent to two pounds of fat. Pretty fricking good
CTRL + F
"Pray"
nobody else prays when they walk? sigh
Only in America walking is a controversy topic.
