i literally have a 7 inch diameter hand. i have yet to meet a woman with a hand smaller than mine. i could still use these my first day in the gym.

Half of these in my gym fit on the bar no problem the other half were designed to be as annoying as possible to use
I have a pair of screw type dumbells and I just use cheap clamps to secure the plates
How old were you when you grew out of using clips?
Literally just lift correctly. The bar is supposed to be straight.
