        I bench 2.5pl8 for 10 reps. I dunno if I could break 3pl8 with fewer reps, online calculators tell me I could, but I never bothered to try.

        I see no theoretical explanation for how pushing 1RM would improve your training and I see no empirical evidence that it does.

        Your body gets good at what you train it to do, so train it to do what you're actually trying to do.

    You need help even when doing less than 1RM morons because with a certain weight there is a certain number of reps that you can do maximally, if you go for another one after that you will get stuck. And it is hard to judge if you can do that last rep or not, with any amount of weight on the bar
