                Yes I understand the nuance but I would appreciate it if you gave the level of concern trolling to keto as you do to the "moderation" diet. The simple fact is most people are not surviving on the moderation diet, the temptation of processed modern food is too high. Without overeating, you are not going to do damage to your kidneys on keto, especially since, you know, to do keto you have to be in ketosis, that means you can't overeat protein. The simple fact right now is the health outcomes of the majority of the population is POOR.

                I'm making a very obvious observation. There's no such thing as "one simple trick" to lose weight. It's always a lifestyle change. Always. It's never as simple as, "just eat nothing but steak wrapped in bacon and watch the weight just melt off, bro."                 Yes, they can. It's a psychological problem, a social/cultural problem, as well as often a nutrition problem. But, yes, they can eat less if they get their mental state straightened out and start consciously paying attention to when they eat, what they eat, how much they eat, and which psychological triggers lead them to overeating.

                Yes, because that's how the human body evolved. It evolved to survive famines. It did not evolve to accomodate people who use food the same way drug addicts to alter their mood.

                Nope. I'm just using common sense here. A person who is predisposed to overeating is also likely to overeat on a different diet. You don't get this, so I'll spell it out for you. The reason people overeat is NOT because they don't feel satiated. The reason they overeat is because they abuse food as a mood management tool. What this means is that they WILL eat, REGARDLESS of whether or not they feel satiated because they got themselves into the habit of eating to make themselves momentarily feel good, like a coke addict or an alcoholic.
                People like this eat when they're hungry, when they're not hungry, they eat when they're happy and want to celebrate, they when they're unhappy to make themselves feel better, and they mindlessly snack throughout the day like a drug addict. Whether they're satiated or not doesn't matter.

                It may suck for some people, but you're actually going to have to get used to FEELING HUNGRY if you want to lose weight, at least initially. there's no dodging it, and scarring down steak isn't going to help you avoid that feeling.
                It's going to be uncomfortable. that's just the way it works. It's just like when an alcoholic quits alcohol and hoes through withdrawal

My lifts fricking sucked on keto and to get actual fat adapted to where your body is proficient at using it for energy takes a long time.

        It’s been proven that cancer feeds off sugar so cutting it out is great or lowering it but your gut health will struggle if you don’t give it good bacteria. Fermented foods like kefir,saurkraut, kimchi and anything pickled is great on keto or any diet really.

      also good to eat keto foods before and after a fast.
