This gives me the worst abs cramps ever. Really painful and also scary because these cramps don't go away immediately if I stretch the area. How to fix this? It also happens on crunches sometimes and I'm scared to train abs because I'm traumatized from the cramps. I never have cramps in any other muscle

this literally just happened to me a few days ago. did a set on this thing, felt fine. went to go back for another set and my abs completely seized up and I fell to the floor.

You got weak abs fren. Even I suffered major ab DOMS when I first started incorporating machine ab crunches into my routine.
So is there a way to reduce cramps? They happen randomly whenever I train abs and they keep me stuck stunned in a retarded stretched pose standing up for like 5 mins MINIMUM everytime, that's how bad it is. I've never had any other muscle cramp this way

DOMS is always mild and normal and enjoyable, I wish it hurt more, the pain from the cramps is unbearable though, if I lift my shirt it looks like there is a horrible alien or foreign body poking out of my abdomen
So the cramp pain is unbearable but the doms doesn't go hard... what a sham
I kinda solved this by doing the exercise regularly and it naturally goes away.
I feel nothing when I use this machine. I get a better burn just from your run of the mill bodyweight ab exercises.
Cable crunches don’t hit my abs nearly as much as these machines do. Why is that? My form is perfect

I've been doing hanging leg raises for months with little progress. I wanted to add something non-bodyweight 🙁
make sure you are contracting your abs and not overusing your hips. Also do it slow and controlled
Same, I do these at the very end a single set to failure and I inmediatly do cobra stretch and have to avoid bending
this machine is pretty good, just make sure you don't that shit at the bottom that holds your legs or you'l be turning this shit into quad exercise
