from what i've read, peat has 2 issues concerning bread >modern wheat is enriched with iron, and peat has an article about the dangers of iron >most breads aren't fermented long enough to get rid of the antinutrients, though i think he advocates long fermented sourdough
It's true that bread doesn't feel quite as "clean" to me as white rice but it seems mostly harmless and is good for when you are too lazy to make a meal.
bread is always weird to categorize. Because the moment you tell someone it's not good they're "what if it's this whole-grain sprouted 30 seed unleavened Ezekiel vegan david's bread" thing. Who even fricking knows at that point without something like ingredient weights. Half the point of these diets is you can point at anything and just be like a mango is a mango, meat is meat but with bread and more processed stuff you pretty much have to go into brand advocacy and shit.
I like a few types of bread >white bread like baguette >rye bread >some of those newer types that have a bunch of different grains packed in
Obviously you want to make sure it doesnt have anything weird added like sugar, or oils, or onions. Also it is better if you get it from an actual bakery than the stuff they have in most supermarkets but there are usually a couple types that are fine even in those.
bread has 'antinutrients' and a lack of nutritional value
rice is better and pretty much the only extra carb source you need to hit macros
white potatoes are the best source of carbs nutrients wise but they are very satiating

multi grain is the lowest quality bread from a manufacturing standpoint
whatevers shit from a batch of white bread gets put into brown bread
whatevers shit from a batch of brown bread gets put into multigrain >t. dad worked at a bread factory
sourdough is the best bread but its still less than optimal
lots of arguments about the yeast being inactive
Something about the oil being heated up, idk. I like roast potatoes but they make me feel slightly odd

Nothing is bad about heating up olive oil. It’s a lie spread by seed oil globohomo.
Roasting potatoes is easier than boiling (no peeling) and you get endless possibilities with the spices. I’d say based.
white potatoes have the highest amount of potassium in any food
potassium is the hardest RDI to reach at 4700mg
i dice and boil potato's in chicken stock with rice, mince and capsicun using an instant pot cause its easy
using olive oil would be fine

>Excludes an essential fat which lowers heart disease risk >Ice cream is a health food >Red meat is a health food
red meat contains loads of B vitamins, minerals and protein
yes eating loads of meat isn't ideal long term, but neither is having muscle mass
if you eat and exercise solely for longevity you just look skinny and dyel
ice cream is just creams, eggs, and sugar (even better when you use honey), what's so bad about it?
>high calorie >high fat >high carb >high sugar
just have yogurt instead of ice cream
How long do you boil them for? I usually cook rice for 13minutes on lowest heat but idk if this is enough for potatoes

if you dice them they cook faster
i put the instant pot on rice mode for 20min, then give it a stir and add another 10min
the mince cooks the slowest because i'm putting a whole kg in there
(the rice is always shit, gluggy and the bottom gets burnt but idgaf its easier than cooking separately)
im really not one to ask for cooking advice i just use the instant pot and frying pan for scrambled eggs
frick why does it always have to be a gimmick? why is it always the loud but niche internet man and not decades of well researched diets which indicate that a lot of vegetables, minimal red meat and abstaining from cigarettes and alcohol is going to put you in a better position than 99% of people?
>why is it always the loud but niche internet man

Potatoes really? I've wondered before if roasting potatoes in olive oil is unhealthy. Boiled potatoes are pretty boring but they feel healthier
Why would it be unhealthy? It has the advantage of getting more calories in.
