Some 5'2 guy with 0 muscle mass because he got all of his protein from beans?
I hate the noble savage myth so much. We've never been as big and muscular as we're now.

Cope. Poor diets aside, if you ate enough yes you'd get ripped. Testosterone levels in men were objectively higher even 70 years ago than they are today.

Depends what he farmed. Obviously a farmer who farmed crops that are easily harvestable by machine they wouldn't get jacked. But if it's by hand, yeah he's going to get jacked and stacked. Of course Bobby Hull also played hockey so he didn't just farm, but a lot of that muscle he did build on the farm.

Only difference is I did not look up bodybuilders. I just googled something along the lines of "average male 1800s shirtless". Those guys in your picture are not accurate representations of what an average male looked like lol.

If you google "average civil war soldier" you can learn that these guys averaged 5'8" and weighed a mere 143 pounds at age 26. If you google pictures of guys like that, they are pretty lean and decently muscled. Im sure that back in the day, genetic outliers (let's say, top 10%, not freaks) who had an interest and the means (time, food, equipment, knowledge) could easily be more ripped and larger than OP's pics/

Bench wasn't considered one of the big lifts. Deadlifts, cleans are the ones that impressed normies.
They wanted to see how much you could lift off the ground or lift over your head. They were strong man, not muscle men if that makes sense.

A dadbod should rightly be thought of as resembling that of the fictional cartoon character named "Homer Simpson" as he appears on the popular television program called "The Simpsons."

BioFoids prefer this body shape because 85% of women polled, actually have a body shape remarkably similar to that of the fictional cartoon character named "Homer Simpson." To say they did NOT like dadbods would be to say that they hate their own bodies, and it is a well established fact of record that everyone should love their own body no matter what it looks like or no matter how unhealthy it is. Satisfied chuds?
