This is the cheapest source of protein. Eggs, chicken breasts and pork loin seems like a luxury compared to The Heart.

Hunter here. I process my own meat since I don't trust people especially the fricker that gets paid 10$/hr during deer season not to skim some off the top when processing. I always take the heart. Its some good eatin'. Check out "The MeatEater" on youtube he has a heart (ticker) cooking special with some decent recipes. I have never consumed the deer ribs but I think I'm going to try this year. I just need a proper saw. I'm not sure where they sell cow heart near me other than going to the local farmers

Hearts and livers are really good.
I personally like to ground them in patties with beef/pork.

Depends on where you live I guess, I could buy a gallon of milk for $1.50, a tray of eggs is $2.00.

My Sam's beef brisket is cheaper than ground beef plus it's less likely to be mystery meat. I do that and milk.

It's telling of how picky and spoiled our society is when this delicious thing is treated as cheap trash part.

Took my buddy hunting. We go gut the deer. I slice open its torso from the sternum going down. He says "I didn't know there would be so much blood". I'm like bro what do you think you open it up and its saran wrapped on a styrofoam plate like you buy at the store? People have absolutely no clue where their food comes from or how spoiled they are and the worst part is they expect it to be there all the time. I genuinely hope the power goes out for 3 months and tons of moronic and old and weak people die. I honestly think it would be the best thing for our society in the long run.

Lamb or veal heart ragu is one of he most delicious things I ever eaten. Grilled duck or chicken hearts are really good. Never had deer or cow heart, but I bet that you can make them delicious.

I'm kind of scared of finding worms or some shit in organ meat. I know meat can have microscopic eggs and shit but I'm afraid of finding spaghetti frickers inside.

organ meats in general are underappreciated

get it from a trusted source. local farmer, ask them about background, etc. it's not a lot more expensive, especially when they wanna get rid of something people arent as often willing to eat
