      how to achieve hyperplasia?

That is enacted with real damage to re-create muscle in most cases. Resistance training does damage muscles, but not enough for your body to regularly say "Oh shit we need new shit there". Also, hitting your cells "natty limit" of size before a new nuclei needs to be recruited makes for more actual muscle. Of course, making the cells grow in size is a lot easier for us than making new cells.

hyperplasia is a result of direct damage to the muscle. it has extreme diminishing returns and results in only 5-10% of your muscle development.
Easiest way is to do lift stretches, do a few reps, on the last one slowly release the exercise until you are almost maxed out stretching and ripping the muscle apart.
If you don't feel muscle pain, you can't achieve hyperplasia. It's literally required as the damaged tissue lets the body know to build new cells to form new muscle fibers else the muscle will break apart.

This dude is right, but I would be careful because the trick is to do actual damage.

So what i've found that works for me is doing my normal sets. so for example 3x5.
i'll finish all my sets and drop to the half way point weight the 2nd set in this case of the 3x5.
It's enough weight to have resistance without extreme weight that could potentially cause tendon damage.
It's much more noticeable with hypertrophy numbers, but i'll just do the set at a moderate speed and on the very last rep just do it in the slowest speed you can imagine.

my lifts aren't super impressive by any means, but my size is pretty noticeable. i can't fit my arms into large sized shirts anymore despite only being 195lbs.

              gj I also do similar.

I like to do my heavy sets, and cut back and do a thrasher set to really frick my shit up with safety. Also, I grew my chest a good bit just doing daily 50 sets of push ups before bed daily. That shit adds up.

      >BMI
Wouldn't muscles also contribute toward BMI and thus reduce brain flow?

Next time you go outside (kek) look at the people in the overweight range and estimate what % of them have big muscles, and what % are just on their way to getting fat. The overweight brain almost certainly belongs to somebody that doesn't lift.

        >Next time you go outside (kek)
What did he mean by this??

        >The overweight brain almost certainly belongs to somebody that doesn't lift.
I agree that most high BMI is due to fat rather than muscle, but I would think muscle blood flow would take away from brain blood flow the same if not more than fat. That's only a guess, I am not a physisit.

Wanna know how I can tell your BMI is over 25

Bro the reason BMI is associated with lower intelligence is 2 part.
BMI is almost a guarantee of having extra body fat. Even lifters while still having lower body fat than obese boys still have higher body fat as BMI goes up.
Higher body fat means more fat stores in the brain.

I guess my question is, does higher BMI lead to lower brain blood flow/intelligence, or does low intelligence lead to higher BMI?

            both.
some people have real problems m8, i'm not making excuses for being fat, but even perfectly health men start gaining small amounts of fat as they age. we are failing machines and this can just further accelerate the problem (fatty liver, dementia from fat deposits in brain) it's a vicious cycle.

However knowingly gaining fat especially at a young age? yeah it's lowering your iq.
these are what we call compounding issues.
the sooner you fix a problem, the longer it takes for the entire bodily system to feel the negatives of that problem.
the longer you take to fix a problem, the sooner the body as a whole unit shows negative results.

Whats the difference with training for hyperthropy and strength? If bigger muscles = stronger why does training for bigger not mean strength but hyperthropy?

      Anonymous

You do get stronger when you train for hypertrophy. Myofibrils do the pulling in muscles. Sarcoplasm is the stuff between the myofibrils. If you train strength, you get more myofibrils. If you train hypertrophy, you get more of both.
