Rice is great for a bulk and potatoes are okay for the first stage of a cut as the former you can eat a lot of and the latter tends to make you more full.

There is no reason to buy bacon at costco because they sell pork belly there. It is easy as frick to make at home. Just put a bunch of salt, ground celery seed, pepper, smoked paprika, and brown sugar on a pork belly and let it sit in the fridge in a covered pan or a bag and flip it once a day for a week. Then rinse it off and smoke it for 2 hours at 200F. Or you can bake it with some liquid smoke on it for the same time. Boom fresh bacon for $4 a pound. The kerrysgold is also great for making ghee out of and is another simple process to do at home. Same with ground beef. Like why the frick would you buy that when they sell brisket there for $4 a pound and you can use that to make ground beef that isn't made from mystery. Same with the chicken stock. They sell entire chickens for $5, just eat one of those and use the bones to make stock.
