To all the thinning anons here..

What is your hair protocol? I'm thinking of finally getting into finasteride, but right now I'm just taking biotin and Vitamin D (even though I can't find any real sources that prove biotin actually helps, don't want to be deficient in it)
I try not to work out too hard and stress my system to preserve hair too.

      >microneedle
Do you do it yourself or go to a clinic, and how long does it take for each session? Minoxidl twice a day then stabbing your scalp thoroughly seems impossible to be consistent in for the rest of your life. Did you see any noticeable results yet?

      >keto shampoo
So from all my research, "hard water" has stuff like Calcium and Magnesium which dries out your hair and weaken roots. Hard water calcifies your pores too blocking hair growth even more. I tried looking for a good shower filter that specifically blocks calcium but no luck yet. That's why I'm a bit iffy on shampoos, it needs to obviously go with shower water, which is hard water.

i microneedle once every two weeks with 1mm, at home. no minoxidil. takes like 10-15mins a session. and i wouldnt worry too much about hard water in relation to your hairloss. i use revita shampoo once a week, doesnt dry me out too much

          Anonymous

Once every two weeks ain't actually that bad, cool. Any results yet or no?

not this anon, but i use minox foam twice a day and microneedle once a week with 1.5mm, which takes like 15-20 minutes of slight discomfort, which is really no big deal

Whether you can do it for the rest of your life is kinda up to you, no? If it seems like too much of a hassle, don't, but it's really not bad as far as time investment.

I've only been at it about 2 months but ive seen solid thickening of hair in all the places it was thinning, and slight hairline return, though the second thing usually takes longer to really show.

No fin, dutasteride or anything else? Just minoxidl and needling?

oh, also fin, forgot to mention ig. No negative side effects so far as well.

              Anonymous

None that you know of. It is impossible to say if sexual function is the same or just 95% the same. The problem is that with fin its actions can take place over the very long term and some can be irreversible. You can't just hop off it if things get bad and everything goes back to how it was.

                Anonymous

Yeah, side effects can definitely appear over time, but the irreversible side effects are a very small percentage of cases, like sub 1%, or something, iirc. If I start to feel really bad sides, the chances are high that I can just hop off and be fine. I understand your concern though, so if it's something you don't want to try, power to you

Why Minox tablets instead of topical? If you're already taking both fin and min, shouldn't min be applied on scalp directly instead?

Dude's an idiot. You have to inject Minox right into the scalp for the best results. If you rub the cream on it doesn't penetrate your felange barrier.

He said the absorption was better when you put it on as a liquid you don't know how much is going through, something like that. He also gave me a script for a compound script of Minox and Finn in a pill made by a special phramacy. SUPER expensive though and after he told me I still won't regrow my widow's peak I just resigned to doing what I am doing liquid minox and finn and that should stop things with tiny amounts of regrowth

      >Minox tablets if you can
      Just use topical.

      >Finnesteride stops things in their track get on it ASAP and you'll stay where you are
Depends on how you respond to it, some people grow hair back, some people don't see any results.

      >the completely bald bits are never coming back without a transplant but a transplant wears off over time...
      Not true.

      >0.5 Finesteride if it's killing your dick
You can go as low as 0.2mg ed or eod.

      >Can easy come off Finnesteride when you wanna get your wife pregnant

          tablets if you can
          >Just use topical.
          i would agree
minoxidil tablets will give you hair growth all over the body and you are more prone to side effects
also minoxidil isnt even approved in oral form so i dont know what quack of a doctor you are going to
you are also from that point on a bloodpressure medication which is fricking moronic longterm
the only benefit to tablet is how easy it is to take it
that said topical takes like 1 mintue to put into your hair so idk why anybody would recommand oral min

stops things in their track get on it ASAP and you'll stay where you are
          >Depends on how you respond to it, some people grow hair back, some people don't see any results.
you can have hairloss from testo and not dht in your hair so lowering dht by fin wont do anything
also your hair could just be sensible as frick to dht so lowering it by 70% may not be enough
also your hairloss might not even be MPB related so blocking dht wont to do shit
(for most people it will work though - hair might still fall out because you cant have higher dose due to sideeffects)

          >>the completely bald bits are never coming back without a transplant but a transplant wears off over time...
          >Not true.
its not true because some of the hair follicles might be dorment under the skin and will reactivate once you give them the propr care (min/dht blocker/ collagen with dermaroller)
it really depends on the person

          >>0.5 Finesteride if it's killing your dick
          >You can go as low as 0.2mg ed or eod.
finasteride will still build up in your system over time and you might encounter the same problems just later

          >>Can easy come off Finnesteride when you wanna get your wife pregnant
          >Doesn't work that easily.
          depends on the person
