If only there were people specifically trained and studied in this exact field that could alleviate or completely cure your condition in a couple of weeks

Man I have a mild case compared to the OP but mine isn't going away either. I file the nails, clean them and apply the nail polish but it's still there. Maybe the doctor gave me a weak solution or something.
they're supposed to give you an oral medication you take for months. It's hard on your liver so they usually have to get blood work with it. In cases of reinfection if it's painful they can just remove the nail and sterilize the nail matrix.
Tried salicylic acid for 3 years, then covering it in vic's papo-rub for a little over a year, tried a prescription topical (forget the name) for a year, and I've been using tea tree oil daily for the last 8 months.
Has anyone tried oral anti-fungals? I've seen 2 doctors so far and they just talks about topical and trimming it.
>prescription topical
Lmao, that stuff exists? Bro, don't waste your time with topical shit or meme stuff like VapoRub. Your fungus is too far gone, get on oral Terbinafine (antifungal) ASAP. Thankfully it seems like you're non of those pussy people that can't bring themselves to go to a doctor.
I recently used to have toenail fungus, not as bad as yours though. I went to a derm and he prescribed me oral Terbinafine. I could see how the discoloration stopped at the bottom of the nail until all the infected nail areas grew out at the top. It took me a total of 7 months to get completely rid of it.
I don't know if Terbinafine will be sufficient enough for your case, or if you need someone to trim down the nail. Either way you'll have to go to a doctor.
Geez, when was the last time you went the public pools or beach? Have you ever walked barefoot in front of other people?
>Geez, when was the last time you went the public pools or beach? Have you ever walked barefoot in front of other people?
Lol. I haven't gone barefoot since. Probably caught it from someone at a public pool.
No, no side effects. Strictly speaking you are not allowed to drink alcohol or caffeine. But look for anecdotal cases online of people consuming both while taking the orals and experiencing no side effects whatsoever. I skipped the caffeine and alcohol while I was doing the treatment since I am not a fricking addict. My derm checked my liver via bloodwork before and while I was taking the medication.
Just rip out the nail bro, get blackout drunk so it doesn't hurt

Any side effects from the oral you took?

Is there any point in treating this shit? I have had it on my toes for over half a decade. I keep them short and neat and it doesn't bother me too much.
I did treat it once topically, daily applications for a year, it fricking sucked. Then the shit just came back anyway. So I'm not doing that again.
Then there's the tablets (terbinafine) which have shitty side effects, possibly even including hair loss. And I read many stories about it coming back after stopping the tablets anyway.
So yeah, shit sucks but what are you gonna do? Autistically rub shit on your nails for the rest of your life? Take tablets that stop you going in the sun or drinking beer? I mean wtf are we supposed to do here. I'm just gonna continue with these shitty yellow nails I guess.
terbinafine
take it for 3 months, consult your medic it can frick your liver if your a pussy, after a year my nail look better than ever
These are all correct.
OP, Dermatologist here. Go see a doctor, it's the only way. We can remove the toenail (or you can do it yourself) but the fungus will return. The fungus is under your skin, in the nail root and sinus, and so it has to be taken care of with medicine. Everyone uses Terbinafine/Lamisil because it works the best.
I know you can get it in topical, but that's really only used for fungal infections at the surface, like ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot, etc. It does not get deep enough to affect what's causing toenail fungus. Occasionally I see patients who insist on it, but that's because they're alcoholics. They try it for a month or two, come back to me, and then most of the time choose to live with the nail fungus.
Anyway, the alternative to topical cream that actually works is getting a 250mg pill per day for 2-3 months. You should not drink on this. Terbinafine taxes the liver (I forget exactly how), but it doesn't work as well and alcohol really stresses it out. This can lead to liver failure, which will manifest either as yellow eyes and skin from an excess of bilirubin or darker colored urine because things aren't being filtered properly. Keep taking it for however long the doctor recommends. At a minimum do it for four weeks after you can no longer see fungus to be certain you got everything under the skin. If you stop too soon, it will just come back and you're at square one again.
What do you think of the multiple layers? I started going down the YouTube rabbit hole and I keep seeing videos of nails like this where the podiatrist explains how the nail bed is permanently damaged so they cut it back to the part that's still alive. Then they attach a fake nail and the patient has to regularly go to a nail salon.
Again, you need to go see a derma in person to better advise you. Prolonged fungal infection do eventually damage the nail root, causing it to grow sporadically and strangely. I've watched those videos too. Even if the doctor filming doesn't mention it, the patients are absolutely getting put on oral antifungals as part of their treatment.
First, a splinter hemorrhage. You probably stubbed your toe on something. Not serious
Second, linear melanonychia. The melanocytes in the base of your nail are normally dormant. These activated for some reason and are producing melanin, discoloring the nail. Number of different causes, almost all benign, including stubbing your toe. Only thing to watch out for is if it keeps growing in width or starts getting splotchy. If that's the case, you have a melanoma and it needs to get taken out, as melanomas at that location metastasize aggressively.
yes, I believe that's what it is, my toe looks exactly pic related, I have had it for like 8 years. I had this bad habit of fooling around playing soccer on my bare feet, so it could be I stubbed my toe back then. Is there a way to remove it? the dark area hasnt grown or caused any pain so far.
Nah. If you've had it for 8 years, it's not from acute trauma. What you have is the equivalent of a tiny mole in the basal layer of your nail root. No reason to remove it. Doesn't look concerningly large. Save this picture and use it as a reference every 6 months or so to see if it's widening. If that happens, or if you start getting pain there, go see a doctor.

Yes, I'll keep a eye on it. It actually bothers me because of how it looks only, thank you, doc.
I've had Terbinafine prescribed for me and it caused my ADT/ALT levels to shoot through the roof, my doctor called me as soon as the blood test results came in (you have to do these regularly while on the med), and urged me to stop taking it.
My liver got back to normal (I'd drink a green shake a couple of times a week to "purify" my insides so to speak), but I won't be taking that pill again (still stuck with the fungus tho)
Glad they caught it. I assume you mean AST/ALT levels though.

can you still take creatine while taking this stuff anon?
nta, can you safely take creatine while on that stuff?
I've never seen it contraindicated, but I'd get tests done before starting it and then two weeks on it to see if anything bad is happening.
VINEGAR, straight white distilled vinegar. it makes the area unlivable for bacteria/fungus. you can cut it 1:1 with water if you need to. but you can just spray it on or dab with some tissue. do it 3 times a day, that and the surrounding area. can also spray anything your feet come into close contact with where the half life of the fungus might still be present to reinfect.
Stop fricking spamming this. Vinegar cannot penetrate to the nail root and basal matrix where the fungus is. If topical application of the drug specifically designed to kill this type of fungus is unable to have an effect, what makes you think topical application of vinegar will?
>I assume you mean AST/ALT levels though.
yup, that shit. I think the norm is somewhere in the 40s, I've had like a 120.
I had to quit drinking for 3 months to recover (hadn't drank the entire time I was on the med as well so in total about 7 months of no booze)
Wondering if Lamisol/Topical are just as effective?
Topical application will help the body repair itself by reducing overall stress on the system. Not only that, but it's something he can do that's cheap and easy with no side effects or health risks.
One of many.

I have ringworm on my knee for the past week, how fast/likely is it to spread to other parts of the body? and can it infect the toenails too? should i be concerned if the infected area contacts clothing/bedding, any other parts of my body or mucosa membranes?
what topical cream is best and length of treatment?
Best way to nuke ringworm is topical terbinafine (lamisil) twice a day and pure tea tree oil twice a day.
t. BJJ guy who had ringworm 20 different times in the last 12 months
nah it's just the same fungus that causes these mangled toes but on the skin instead. It forms a ring shaped rash which can sort of look like a worm, thus the name.
Is there a way to get these fungi to produce fruiting bodies (mushrooms)? As I understand it, the fungus needs to grow into contact with another genetically different fungus, so would it work to get two types of fungus on one nail (innoculate nail with second fungus) or bind two peoples feet together for a month?
Not possible I think without hoping a very rare mutation happens.
Fungi decompose, they do not bear fruit, these are the ones you see here.
Fungi are also mushrooms and they have mutated away from the others and have become less deadly an a result, and have further mutated into yeast varieties.
Only 1% of fungi bear a sort of fruit aka mushrooms.
What you are promoting works only in 30% of cases and fricks your liver in 100% of cases.
While alternatively you can have a normal vitamin d3 levels, a normal microbiome and your fungus is gone.

I had chilblains for 5 years when I used a borrowed rubber boot. five damn years. I got into a routine with animalistic doses of Fluconazole. I had visual artifacts of the high level of liver intoxication from this antifungal. I solved the problem. I haven't had anything for 2 years, but also... I almost died of intoxication.

If it comes back you either did not run a proper course the first time or picked it up again somewhere. Likely from your own damn house.

I am fricking keking at all the people that will judge you in silence
Side effects should always be taken seriously, yeah you got a low chance, but you never know. I never had any problems with any medications before, then I got some pills prescribed and wind up having some brutal side effects that later on gave me some odd health problems that couldn't really be treated, aside from pain medication. And that's nothing really, some people get their lives destroyed by side effects, always consider that some medication might actually make things worse than they were before. But that's life I guess.
True you gotta evaluate the risks, is the cure worse than the disease? Some medications can have terrifiying side-effects up to and including DEATH.

It's too late anon, the fungi is consuming you. You have 6-10 days to live before you experience the indescribable pain of metamorphosis and bloom. You should have a nice day before it's too late.
Wtf dude, I would kill to be able to resist cutting my toenails for long enough to grow them out that thick.
Cutting that nail would be the most satisfying and stress-reducing thing in the world
Don't need a doctor. Just need a consistent routine.
I soaked my foot in Hydrogen Peroxide and Apple Cider Vinegar, alternating every day. Hydro. Perox -> Vinegar, and so on.
The Hydrogen Peroxide soak would hurt after about 15 minutes at which point I'd end the sessions. For vinegar did longer around 20-25 minutes.
Every day for 2 weeks and the nail started to die and fail off. Health nail grew back.
Keep your feet dry and watch where you step around barefoot!
>Baking soda. In addition to treating fungal toenails, baking soda is great for neutralizing foot odor. Mix a half-cup of baking soda, a half-cup of Epsom salt, and one-fourth cup of hydrogen peroxide (3%) in four cups of hot water before adding one-fourth cup of white vinegar. Soak for about ten minutes, and then wash with clean water and thoroughly dry your foot/feet.
I also used this but the nail would hurt decently after 10 minutes.
Bro I think that would be extremely painful.
When I was doing the soaking, the nail got progressively weaker as the fungus died. Instead of taking the whole nail off (which doesn't kill the fungus embedded in the nail bed), I clipped the nail very short. Then more and more of the nail came off until eventually the whole thing was off. This was after about 1.5 weeks if i remember right.
Then another week maybe I did soaking and eventual nail grew back healthy.
Again, I didn't have crazy bad growth so it might take longer for other anons but I swear by this method.
Don't need a doctor. Just need a consistent routine.

No man it was 6 years ago and I didn't real think of it at the time. I was living abroad and didn't want to go to the doctor so I googled home remedies. This came up so I found where they sold Hydrogen Peroxide got that, and vinegar is easy to get anywhere.
I didn't expect much but just kept it up daily. My toenail fungus was not on the same level as some of the people in this thread, so if you have a severe case might take longer.
Aaaaahhh!!! Frick bros, it's not fungus, it's a permanently damaged nail bed. I'm gonna have to get both of my big toe nails removed and they'll probably never grow back. Aaaaahhhh!!!!
I suffered this shit for maybe 9 years. Only thing that worked was oral terbinafine, which apparently can frick up your liver, so you must be fairly young, in good bodily shape, and no alcohol, and you can only take it for 3 months. I did see recession in the fungus after 3 months of use but some small part still lingered. I got rid of it all by soaking cottonball in apple cider vinegar and putting it on my toe daily for maybe a month and miraculously it cleared up.
I'll be honest I'm pretty fricking terrified of it coming back so I constantly check my toes and get scared at every single spotty dot on my toenail.
I've heard another method dermatologists use is just pull out your nail and then apply topical cream on the area where the nail used to be. Apparently it's efficient but involves getting rid of your nail and then you will probably have a year or so until a new nail grows

then, get a potatoe, a 5 gal bucket, and a handful of leaf litter - the decomposed leaves and soil underneath mats of old leaves, grass, etc. Good compost or biologically active soil will make a good substitute. Boil the potato, mash it, and put it and the water inside of the 5 gal bucket with the soil and a small amount of natural seas salt - less than a small handful but more than a pinch. Cover it and leave it in a sunny place for 1-3 days depending on temperature. Use when the solution is bubbling and frothy at its most vigorous level. Best used up to 12 hours after peak. Soak your toe in the solution. Repeat as necessary.
I have yellow toenail fungus but not weird centipede toe. Someone told me to put nail polish on it and it ends up going away until I take the polish off but it takes a few days to show up again. I will just paint my toenails clear forever so toenail aids doesnt come back if that's what it turns into

The chance of topical agents completely eradicating the fungus are pretty low. Especially when the fungus made it's way down to the nail matrix where the new nail grows.
You should get oral medication from a doctor. I think Terbinafine is the most common one.
>I'm not using vodoo anon
ngmi, within the year the fungus will be nearly 80% of your body. you'll become more fungus than man. you'll walk the streets and women and children will run in fear.

this is exactly what my left big toenail looks like. it got ingrown like a decade ago and it had to be removed or came off around 5 times and now it looks like this. i dont know if its a fungus or if its just extremely thick because of how many times it has come off.
theres no fungi in your nail homosexual, it's clean, it just cannot manage to break through all the old attempts of growth, you have to get it removed and that's fricking it, it will grow back fine
You have onychomycosis, I have it too. You can wait for the fungus to die and a healthy nail to grow in (currently happening on my right big toe after 6ish years, left still affected) or take terbinafine.
Yep. Personally, I hate clipping and filing down the overgrown nails so I wait for them to grow out then I step on them to break off the tips of the nails. Got a pretty nasty dried blood pool on my left after I fricked it up once lol. I can take pics if thread is interested.

I can't believe it. Grown men being digested alive by fungal infections and quiet as if it were nothing. you are so fricked up that you don't even have the capacity to contemplate how much. for God's sake, antifungals are one of the cheapest remedies out there. there's even a suppository, which I know you prefer.
This thread is the worst thing I have experienced this year
I just hope you fungal fricks in here know that you are worse than the lowest of the worlds low, you have buried beneath the crust of failure and have made a little fungal cave in which you fester your feet with infections, these images are atrocities to the human condition
You have had every chance to go to a doctor or even a fricking pharmacist and fix this disgusting shit but instead you choose to keep your toes looking like they just crawled out of a terrarium
Not hard at all with an aesthetic impairment like that. But maybe the avoidance of doctors because of first hand embarrassment is a testimony to the shut in, basement dwelling IST archetype. Because if you actually had friends and did stuff except for playing video games all day, the first hand embarrassment of other people seeing your nails would be far greater than the first hand embarrassment you would experience if a medical professional who went to college for such cases had a look at your nail.
had this on my nail since 12 years old
then my hands thumb at 16
then some other nails in my hand at 20ish
im 31 now and almost all my nails in my right hand are becoming rigid/flakey with a slight yellow tint (though most a healthy color to the eye unless you shine really bright light)
i'm on that terbanafine for 2 months and hopefully will stop taking it soon after i get a liver blood test done
it really didnt bother me until they started flaking and cutting into my skin whenever i would accidentally bump my hand or just from dealing with fabric, very painfully they sometimes get caught on something since the ends of the nail become warped and rigid and start to splinter off like wood
yeah idk how it got to my hand, it started on my toenail, but i'm literally a clean freak and wash my hands with soap like 12 times a day
actually i think thats what caused them to get so dry (but i later found out thru the derm that its actually a fungus)
and the friction seems to break the nail bed (my theory) and broken nails turn rigid but still not yellow and a healthy color, then over years they get infected and become yellow which only is like 2 or 3 nails atm (1 of them the toe)
>im 31 now and almost all my nails in my right hand are becoming rigid/flakey with a slight yellow tint (though most a healthy color to the eye unless you shine really bright light)

My mom said only old people get this (she worked in elder care). She said if I don't go to a doctor my toenails will fall off and never grow again. I don't believe my mommy, it's been 5 years and my toenails are still growing.

I have it. Yours is strangely artistic.
You'll need meds and the nails removed.

>weeks
Man I have a mild case compared to the OP but mine isn't going away either. I file the nails, clean them and apply the nail polish but it's still there. Maybe the doctor gave me a weak solution or something.
they're supposed to give you an oral medication you take for months. It's hard on your liver so they usually have to get blood work with it. In cases of reinfection if it's painful they can just remove the nail and sterilize the nail matrix.
nta, can you safely take creatine while on that stuff?
Idk they took me off it after a couple weeks because I have this weird liver enzyme path that interferes with the medication.
If only. Fortunately there's thousands of online autists to suggest potentially dangerous baseless advice
What do you treat it with at the moment?
Tried salicylic acid for 3 years, then covering it in vic's papo-rub for a little over a year, tried a prescription topical (forget the name) for a year, and I've been using tea tree oil daily for the last 8 months.
Has anyone tried oral anti-fungals? I've seen 2 doctors so far and they just talks about topical and trimming it.
>prescription topical
Lmao, that stuff exists? Bro, don't waste your time with topical shit or meme stuff like VapoRub. Your fungus is too far gone, get on oral Terbinafine (antifungal) ASAP. Thankfully it seems like you're non of those pussy people that can't bring themselves to go to a doctor.
yeah you need meds that might frick up your liver, they're $200 without insurance if you managed to get prescribed them
I did it all online through pics, I did have to go into the place for a blood test for the meds though
Just rip out the nail bro, get blackout drunk so it doesn't hurt
I had a course and it got rid of mine nicely. Only thing I had was funny smelling urine like

Based talon anon. You should sharpen it and become velociraptor man B^)
Any side effects from the oral you took?
>Geez, when was the last time you went the public pools or beach? Have you ever walked barefoot in front of other people?
Lol. I haven't gone barefoot since. Probably caught it from someone at a public pool.
I took it and it made my pee smell weird but that’s it for me personally. It can have more serious effects potentially
Really do recommend
What's it smell like?
No, no side effects. Strictly speaking you are not allowed to drink alcohol or caffeine. But look for anecdotal cases online of people consuming both while taking the orals and experiencing no side effects whatsoever. I skipped the caffeine and alcohol while I was doing the treatment since I am not a fricking addict. My derm checked my liver via bloodwork before and while I was taking the medication.
A lot of times the fungus just comes back
These are all correct.
Thanks Doc.
Even if the doctor filming doesn't mention it, the patients are absolutely getting put on oral antifungals as part of their treatment.
dermabro, I have a weird vertical dark line on my foot thumb toe, is that a fungus?
One of two things. It's not a fungus.
If that's the case, you have a melanoma and it needs to get taken out, as melanomas at that location metastasize aggressively.
>linear melanonychia
yes, I believe that's what it is, my toe looks exactly pic related, I have had it for like 8 years.
It actually bothers me because of how it looks only, thank you, doc.
yep it's cancer
I've had Terbinafine prescribed for me and it caused my ADT/ALT levels to shoot through the roof, my doctor called me as soon as the blood test results came in (you have to do these regularly while on the med), and urged me to stop taking it.
My liver got back to normal (I'd drink a green shake a couple of times a week to "purify" my insides so to speak), but I won't be taking that pill again (still stuck with the fungus tho)
Derma Doc back again
Glad they caught it. I assume you mean AST/ALT levels though.
Go to a doctor
I've never seen it contraindicated, but I'd get tests done before starting it and then two weeks on it to see if anything bad is happening.
Stop fricking spamming this. Vinegar cannot penetrate to the nail root and basal matrix where the fungus is. If topical application of the drug specifically designed to kill this type of fungus is unable to have an effect, what makes you think topical application of vinegar will?
>Go to a doctor
YEah, dreading calling the doc
But god damn i need to get rid of this shit
Thanks derma anon
>get tests done
hmm i believe if i ask the doctor about creatine he won't even know what it is will he
>I assume you mean AST/ALT levels though.
yup, that shit. I think the norm is somewhere in the 40s, I've had like a 120.
I had to quit drinking for 3 months to recover (hadn't drank the entire time I was on the med as well so in total about 7 months of no booze)
Wondering if Lamisol/Topical are just as effective?
>Lamisol/Topical
Ive used those for god knows how long, besides maybe getting rid of 10% they didnt do shit
Topical application will help the body repair itself by reducing overall stress on the system. Not only that, but it's something he can do that's cheap and easy with no side effects or health risks.
not if youre that far gone like pics ITT

I have ringworm on my knee for the past week, how fast/likely is it to spread to other parts of the body? and can it infect the toenails too? should i be concerned if the infected area contacts clothing/bedding, any other parts of my body or mucosa membranes?
what topical cream is best and length of treatment?
Best way to nuke ringworm is topical terbinafine (lamisil) twice a day and pure tea tree oil twice a day.
t. BJJ guy who had ringworm 20 different times in the last 12 months
is that shit an actual worm?
nah it's just the same fungus that causes these mangled toes but on the skin instead. It forms a ring shaped rash which can sort of look like a worm, thus the name.
jeez
What the frick I've been doing BJJ for almost 3 years and there has been a ringworm outbreak only once at the club, and only a few people.
In what backalley do you train? Is it with non-Whites or something?
Yeah admittedly the hygiene practices are not the best but it's a quality gym so
Is there a way to get these fungi to produce fruiting bodies (mushrooms)?

You need one of these

Oh frick no.
Yes, it is worth getting medical treatment so you are not host to a parasitic fungus for the rest of your life. That shit is unbelievably nasty.
Did you even read my post? have you had first hand experience with this shit?
the tldr is this: the treatments have big downsides and there's a good fricking chance it's gonna come back when you stop anyway. QoL is probably better if you just keep them short and put that shit out your mind.
Yeah, as someone who's spent a fair amount of time in gym showers I have first hand experience with nail fungus. Topicals are not damaging to your health.
If it comes back you either did not run a proper course the first time or picked it up again somewhere. Likely from your own damn house.
Giving up on being clean and fungus-free because you are lazy and failed to fix it once it fat person logic.
Have some self respect and stop fungus from growing on your body.
>muh side effects
I fricking hate this meme, take your ducking chances, it’s not like these side effects have a appearance rate of 100%. If you manage to have serious side effects just stop taking it. But if you manage to convince yourself that you don’t care because you got used to how it looks after 5 years then I guess I won’t be able to change your mind.
Some medications can have terrifiying side-effects up to and including DEATH.
oh brother even an aspirin can kill you as a side effect you still pop em like tic tacs
Actually I don't. I rarely take pills for headache. I just get scared when I read the medication info sheet and it lists heart failure, kidney failure, spontaneous bleeding and death.
i would too if youre being blasted with drug ads all the time

Wtf dude, I would kill to be able to resist cutting my toenails for long enough to grow them out that thick.
Cutting that nail would be the most satisfying and stress-reducing thing in the world
terbinafine
take it for 3 months, consult your medic it can frick your liver if your a pussy, after a year my nail look better than ever
I had some and dipped my toe in bleach for like 30 seconds, it never came back.
Can you just shave down your nail and just apply the peroxide directly onto the nail bed?
Bro I think that would be extremely painful.
When I was doing the soaking, the nail got progressively weaker as the fungus died. Instead of taking the whole nail off (which doesn't kill the fungus embedded in the nail bed), I clipped the nail very short. Then more and more of the nail came off until eventually the whole thing was off. This was after about 1.5 weeks if i remember right.
Then another week maybe I did soaking and eventual nail grew back healthy.
Again, I didn't have crazy bad growth so it might take longer for other anons but I swear by this method.
Guy 1.4M sub's just posting about nasty feet.
Got before and after pics?
No man it was 6 years ago and I didn't real think of it at the time. I was living abroad and didn't want to go to the doctor so I googled home remedies. This came up so I found where they sold Hydrogen Peroxide got that, and vinegar is easy to get anywhere.
I didn't expect much but just kept it up daily. My toenail fungus was not on the same level as some of the people in this thread, so if you have a severe case might take longer.
Mine was comparable to pic related, though.
Aaaaahhh!!! Frick bros, it's not fungus, it's a permanently damaged nail bed. I'm gonna have to get both of my big toe nails removed and they'll probably never grow back. Aaaaahhhh!!!!
Today, I tried every cream and over the counter and home remedies nothing worked
Terbinafine was the cure no side effects and my liver is just fine
WHAT ARE THOSE NASTY FRICKING HAIRS?? ARE ALL OF YOU HERE CAVE GOBLINS WHAT THE FUUUUCK
>I got rid of it all by soaking cottonball in apple cider vinegar and putting it on my toe daily for maybe a month and miraculously it cleared up.
SEE!

I really dont believe you guys with this
get that physically removed
then, get a potatoe, a 5 gal bucket, and a handful of leaf litter - the decomposed leaves and soil underneath mats of old leaves, grass, etc. Repeat as necessary.
fill the bucket with water until about 2/3 full before covering.
a set of these babies should do.
Seriously tho deal with that thing asap it could duck you up in the long run
I have yellow toenail fungus but not weird centipede toe. Someone told me to put nail polish on it and it ends up going away until I take the polish off but it takes a few days to show up again. I will just paint my toenails clear forever so toenail aids doesnt come back if that's what it turns into
Im almost resigned to doing this. Just need to find a natural coloured polish and ill cover em up.
May as well. They make me feel dirty I'd rather people thought I was a homosexual.

Ffs, threads like these make my fricking blood boil. You always have the >muh pharma bad guys recommending you meme shit like vinegar and tea tree oil.
Is this fixable
I’ve been using different liquid stuff and use anti foot fungus spray every day after showering
I'm not using vodoo anon
Based
The chance of topical agents completely eradicating the fungus are pretty low. Especially when the fungus made it's way down to the nail matrix where the new nail grows.
You should get oral medication from a doctor. I think Terbinafine is the most common one.
Already sweating having to call the doc
But what has to be done....
>I'm not using vodoo anon
ngmi, within the year the fungus will be nearly 80% of your body. you'll become more fungus than man. you'll walk the streets and women and children will run in fear.
"ahhh the fungus man" they will cry. theirs not the only tears that will be shed as you lay awake and alone on your moss covered bed.
you dare disrespect the voodoo, anon. you dare it so urgently as to be considered a fool, a fool and his fungus.
>ahhh the fungus man
its not a fungus, the cure is to trim the lifted nail and do reconstruction or remove the nail all together
amputation sounds like a good idea
Jesus Christ I will NEVER let you in my martial art gym.
I'm trying to get it fixed anon
this is exactly what my left big toenail looks like. it got ingrown like a decade ago and it had to be removed or came off around 5 times and now it looks like this. i dont know if its a fungus or if its just extremely thick because of how many times it has come off.
I'm that anon, still trying to get a derma to look at it
My mother had this for decades, then finally did get rid of it with topicals and filing down.
Don't forget to clean your shoes to avoid reinfection.
theres no fungi in your nail homosexual, it's clean, it just cannot manage to break through all the old attempts of growth, you have to get it removed and that's fricking it, it will grow back fine
>theres no fungi in your nail
are we seeing the same pictures
This thread is why I don't shower at the gym.
Or public pool
Im a fricking 31yo man and i cant call a doctor to treat this shit
Holy FRICK
I had it a few years ago and it went away by talking certain pills the dermatologist gave me.
Cut that shit, motherfricker. You're disgusting
>spores get onto the scissors
>you cut your protein package open
>spores now in your protein powder
You can’t be this moronic.
thats how nail fungus works
Don’t use your kitchen scissors you dumb homosexual
>
Looks like stacked tacos. Very yummy.
I'm no expert but probably some fungicide?
You have onychomycosis, I have it too. You can wait for the fungus to die and a healthy nail to grow in (currently happening on my right big toe after 6ish years, left still affected) or take terbinafine.
that long?
Yep. Personally, I hate clipping and filing down the overgrown nails so I wait for them to grow out then I step on them to break off the tips of the nails. Got a pretty nasty dried blood pool on my left after I fricked it up once lol. I can take pics if thread is interested.
Ah frick it, other anons already posted theirs. Get mogged fricking posers
Dear fricking God anon
Dude
How do people like this live with this shit instead of just going to the fricking doctor?
Hell if I was a burger and hence doctors cost $1m a visit, I'd amputate the toe with a kitchen knife then instead of living with it
Other than looking kindof gross, it really doesn't bother me. Hell if I didn't have eyes, I wouldn't have ever noticed it to begin with.
>Do you have a before pic?
>Implying I take pictures of my feet
No, BUT $20 is $20
Jesus fricking Christ this thread is making me sick
>I hate clipping and filing down the overgrown nails so I wait for them to grow out then I step on them to break off the tips of the nails
What the frick.
Aaaaaah what the frick. How do you even wear shoes? Do you ever get out?
How do I prevent this
I got mine after showering with my then gf, so I don't think you have anything to worry about anon.
Aww shit man, I think I showered with her too.
I'm guessing i've showered with her as well anon
>Maybe it'll be fought of naturally after all with sufficiently healthy and clean life
Bro......
Go to a dermatologist they'll put you on oral antifungals. Boom clean as they've ever been in 3 months.
make that 6-9 months
I've got a skin fungus (tinea versicolor or something) and I've been on oral antifungal medicine for 2 months now and frickkin nothing has changed
Have tried to call a derma 4 times now
Gonna try it again tomorrow morning first thing
Bist du der Typ aus /deutsch/? Hatte das gleiche Problem, hab erst beim sechsten Anruf einen termin gekriegt.
Doitsch bro?
Was geht?
We speak American on this board.
Ah, another anon with the same problem. That's gnarlier than mine. I've already trimmed off 4 layers, the ones in the OP are the latest ones. Do you have a before pic?
>We speak American
Hamburger AR-15 cake and sodomy for JEEEEYSAYS CHUUURIST yipeekayay GEORGE WALKER BUSH OBAMA
I can't believe it. Grown men being digested alive by fungal infections and quiet as if it were nothing. you are so fricked up that you don't even have the capacity to contemplate how much. for God's sake, antifungals are one of the cheapest remedies out there. there's even a suppository, which I know you prefer.
>one of the cheapest remedies out there
its fricking $200 and the cost of your liver, gay
>its fricking $200
as a burger*
Fricking rip that shit off and soak your feet in vinegar daily for a month or two you fricking dirty Black folk
Lmao. Looking at this cursed feet thread and these are the adds i get. Maybee you freak toe anons can click the bait link kek
f that
This thread is the worst thing I have experienced this year
I just hope you fungal fricks in here know that you are worse than the lowest of the worlds low, you have buried beneath the crust of failure and have made a little fungal cave in which you fester your feet with infections, these images are atrocities to the human condition
You have had every chance to go to a doctor or even a fricking pharmacist and fix this disgusting shit but instead you choose to keep your toes looking like they just crawled out of a terrarium
You have no idea how hard it is to go to the doctor because of first hand embarrassement
>This thread is the worst thing I have experienced this year
The year is still young.
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/food-shortages-six-months-globalists-are-telling-us-what-happens-next
Kek
I have this problem but I keep it trimmed and shaped, you frickers are savages.
>savages
>has the same shit
How do you get this shit? The gym shower floor?
public pool, if youre diabetic, by cheer shit luck if you shower with the gf/bf/brohomo
had this on my nail since 12 years old
then my hands thumb at 16
then some other nails in my hand at 20ish
im 31 now and almost all my nails in my right hand are becoming rigid/flakey with a slight yellow tint (though most a healthy color to the eye unless you shine really bright light)
i'm on that terbanafine for 2 months and hopefully will stop taking it soon after i get a liver blood test done
it really didnt bother me until they started flaking and cutting into my skin whenever i would accidentally bump my hand or just from dealing with fabric, very painfully they sometimes get caught on something since the ends of the nail become warped and rigid and start to splinter off like wood
I don't want this shit on my hand man
yeah idk how it got to my hand, it started on my toenail, but i'm literally a clean freak and wash my hands with soap like 12 times a day
actually i think thats what caused them to get so dry (but i later found out thru the derm that its actually a fungus)
also i noticed my fingers are infected usually if i use them a lot (like for swiping my phone, scroll wheel on mouse) that seems to break the nail
and the friction seems to break the nail bed (my theory) and broken nails turn rigid but still not yellow and a healthy color, then over years they get infected and become yellow which only is like 2 or 3 nails atm (1 of them the toe)
>im 31 now and almost all my nails in my right hand are becoming rigid/flakey with a slight yellow tint (though most a healthy color to the eye unless you shine really bright light)
i will frickign regret this but.... pic?
just search rigid nails on google and mine are a bit worse than that but still okayish looking except some specific ones
toothpaste with menthol
rub your toe with gloves (to not dry out hands) every time you shower
Broscience
mint kills the shroom
and it's antibacterial
and it dries the frick out of it
will also dry out your skin
I just ripped mine off, you can do that.
Then what
wash it thoroughly in the shower, assuming you shower often and soak it in some sort of disinfectant
redpill me on Terbinafine, is it safe if i consume moderate amounts of caffeine/sugar/sun tan once a week
>the socially acceptible drug israelite
>the goyslop """natural""" sugar that totally isnt gmo laced
>giving yourself skin cancer to no longer be a pure white
you shouldnt be doing these things in the first place anon, terbinafine should be your least concern
whats so bad about tea with a little table sugar? i'm already skinny i just am concerned with my liver, thats all. ah yes time to avoid the sun so i look like a vampire, if this shit is spookier than accutane is all i wanna know
Is toenail fungus far more common than I assumed
yea
You know how dogs get mange? Well humans get toe fungus. That's just how it is.
I have the same fungoid shit only I trim it.
BRUH
My mom said only old people get this (she worked in elder care). She said if I don't go to a doctor my toenails will fall off and never grow again. I don't believe my mommy, it's been 5 years and my toenails are still growing.
she is right
I don't mind going toeless through life. Will never have to worry about cuting them again or cutting in my other toes.
Jesus Christ look at the length of your fingernails on your hand.
In the psychological field it's known to be very highly correlated with debilitating mental illness, basic grooming is a very low level function.
So, tell us, what's your illness?
I play fingerstyle guitar Black personhomosexual. There's nohing wrong with the size of my nails. As for mental illness, depression I guess, neuroticism like extreme shyness. But I'm a normal person. Software developer in accounting.
>But I'm a normal person
>posting on IST
What other sweet little lies do you tell yourself?
>no one:
>this guy: BTW IM A SOFTWARE ENGINEER
A vegetarian and a software engineer walked into the bar. I know because they told me.
Sounds like you're a jelly NEET.
engineers are extremely insecure and always need to tell everyone they're an engineer even when unprompted.
I'm not an engineer though. Software engineer and software developer are two different functions. I mainly write code. A software engineer has a far more complex job, far more extroverted I would say, spends more time on the 'bigger picture'.
God I wish I was a NEET again. Maybe if the stock market wasn't turning my portfolio into dogwater week over week I could go back... damn I'm so close, a slam dunk year or two and it'd be possible.
your job is going straight to india/china/russia in the next 10 years bud, shit's a bubble of the highest order
>I'm a software engineer (autism) with depression (major depressive disorder), neuroticism (borderline personality disorder) and extreme shyness (agoraphobia)
>I'm a normal person and my nails are normal length for a mentally healthy man
Sure lmao.
Strawmanning me.
At least strawmen cut their fingernails you mentally ill queer.
I'm a normal person.
don't forget the rampant racism
Racism is normal though. Being rejecting, intolerant, wary and fearful of outside groups, ways of doing and cultures is normal and healthy.
It cannot in any way be considered a psychopathology.
>im a normal person
>severe depression
>neuroticism/autism/avoidant personality disorder
>software developer autist who tells everyone his job despite no one asking so he can brag
>racist and homophobe as well
uh huh, you're totally normal man.
Rent free
and homophobe as well
where do you think you are?
>racist and homophobe as well
The overwhelming majority of humans are those things.
Therefore that makes it normal, since this is the norm.
Not being so is abnormal per se.
I eat my toenails, I enjoy ripping them off gently and munching on them till it turns into toe powder into my mouth. I also enjoy tearing off and eating my fingers / toes dead skins.
Felt like sharing and joining the degenerate ambiance
I stopped biting my nails (especially my big toe fingernails) because it grinded my teeth down and I broke my incisive on it.
>Felt like sharing and joining the degenerate ambiance
welcome aboard, lad
it looks like dragon skin
Gonna call another dermatologist tomorrow morning at work
This shit has to go
99% rubbing alcohol. Pour it in a tub and put your feet in there. Simple as.
thats how you lose your whole foot
Set your toe on fire, only that toe.
5 seconds should be enough.
Drop a hammer on it and just put the nail out its misery.
fungus gets fricked up by alkalinity, so try putting your feet in a foot bath of water with baking soda.
>baking soda
>vinegar
broscience remedies
Shittiest thread
Fricking disgusting underhumans
t. shit and cum stains
Seriously how the FRICK do you Black folk let it get this bad. I'm a fat frick and worked for years on my feet, all you have to do is not wear anything too tight and cut the tip once in a couple of weeks. Jesus christ.
verifiable proof fat people are moronic
since were posting fricked up toes here's mine. the only time it's actually an issue is when im biking but even then it hardly hurts
