Also I bet his diet is pretty shitty in the sense he doesn't eat enough. Jeff doesn't really make nutrition a huge focus other than pointing out how bad calorie dense foods can be when you're trying to lose fat.

The problem is Jesse has the opposite issue, he doesn't need to lose fat, he needs to gain muscle which means bulking. That translates to eating at an excess and more importantly on a protein heavy diet. Jesse, depending on his height and weight, should likely be eating at 3000+ for maintenance simply because his job is to literally work out and build muscle, regardless of his other roles, he can't really not work out. His office and workplace is literally a private gym.

Jeff doesn't talk about this because he knows nothing about this. Jeff is an athletic trainer and does rehabilitation and injury prevention. To him eating to bulk is antithetical to his expertise. When you are rehabbing a person or trying to prevent injuty one of the first thing you target is fat loss. The idea of eating to get bigger when you are injured or trying to recover is typically the last thing you want. So of course he knows little to nothing about it. It is a contrast to his education and experience.

Jeff was great for Jesse in year one or even year two, but past that Jesse should have been straight up bulking years ago to really maximize his growth. Focusing on 300 calorie excess with 1.2 grams of protein per lean bodyweight or more.

That isn't focused on at all. It's called AthLEANx afterall, but as a result gains are left on the table and viewers eventually have to go elsewhere to get that info. Jeff should have brought on a nutritonist in a partnership years ago, along with a strength coach with a similar background as his ages ago. Could have expanded his brand and really hiven his viewership more options under his control and channel.

Instead he does shitty clickbait and videos.

        Very well-made post.
One thing I would add is that seeing Jessie get fat would make Jeff's viewers lose a lot of faith in the AthLEANx name.

            damn that sounds rough.

            [...]
iirc he also was in a very serious accident, I think a car crash, and was heavily injured to the point where even years after recovery he can't lift too heavy or he passes out and his heart stops working or something crazy like that.

            >and was heavily injured to the point where even years after recovery he can't lift too heavy
I'm calling bullshit on that. Sounds like a sob story made up to gather likes.
If he really was that held back by his supposed injuries, he wouldn't be lifting heavy shit for a living and showing it off on social media.

Yeah I didn't want to say that because I had only a faint memory but if it's at least two of us remembering it then it's likely true. Again, nothing but respect for this guy, he's not the biggest baddest guy but he does his thing and he's improved a lot.

mentions. For all his faults, Jeff probably understands Jessies situation better than anyone and knows how to work around it which is probably why Jessie has stuck with him through everything

Initially, yes, but Jeff has limits. They are obvious too, he's not a stength coach, he doesn't know much in way of nutrition. I think I've seen videos where he just ralks about how he divides his plate into portions and thats how he calculates his nutrition.

Thats a joke for a person who needs to bulk and has trouble gaining mass. If you are young with a fast metabolism and you need to gain muscle tracking your macros is essential to gaining muscle because your apetite is an u reliable indicator of your bodily needs at that point.

In the same way fat people undercount the calories of what they eat, skinny guys tend to overcount. So they don"/ get bigger in the same way fat people don't get thinner. Getting a good calculator isn't an exCt science but it is far superior than jist eyeballing the shit, whivh is pretty much what Jeff does.

                It's fricking laughable.

I used to watch a lot of Jeff's videos, in one of them he explained that Jesse has had multiple concussions, playing lacrosse in university I think, and now suffers from brainfog and migraines if my memory serves

you can see in the vid he was very skinny when he started, I'm guessing also a manlet with shit genetics, wristlet
issue is he's trying to stay too lean, arms lack size, but he's actually got fairly strong, his back looks solid in that one shot
issue is his diet not his training
he could use a bulk but maybe he's just happy being lean
