          Not him but in most cases people get locked in a constant bulk and cut cycle of putting on fat and losing it without gaining any significant muscle. Roiders can do it because they are anabolic at all times, natties just waste their time and put excess stress on the body by aggressively bulking and cutting. Prolonged bulks and cuts is where it's at, and those take months or even a year.

Also your muscles won’t automatically say they will not grow because you didn’t eat at a surplus. Just eat enough protein like egg whites chicken breast and protein shakes and you are Gucci

                Every succesful bodybuilder and strength athlete is on PEDs. I mentioned it before in this thread, roids put you in a constant anabolic state that is just not possible for natties. We do not operate on the same levels, if a natty were to follow the aggressive bulks and cuts pro bodybuilders do they'd just end up losing any minimal muscle they gained during the bulk. Slow and steady is the name of the game for us, do bulk but do not be aggressive about it. Hell, I'm bulking right now, I've been bulking since October

              But the difference from being actual unlifting skinnyfat/skinny to a few pounds of noob lean gains is real, you just don't notice because you are used to seeing the skinnies with noob gains in the gym or posting in fitness/lifting communities, so that becomes the baseline. Occasionally when you see an actual DYEL for the first time in the gym it's surreal, I'm around 180lbs and have 16" arms which is DYEL by all internet standards meanwhile my forearms which I never worked directly will be significantly bigger than their bi's/tri's.

Still I don't disagree with him, I've found heavy bulks to be a big strain on the body so even if going +20% bf megabulk would make for some great gains it wouldn't be sustainable as quality of life itself starts to suffer
