>umm ackchually, spot fat reduction isnt a thing!!
Name a more dishonest argument. Why is building muscle NOT pretty much the same thing? Muscle development protrudes through fat and makes the area leaner because it stretches out the fat. This is nearly on the same level as "abs are made in the kitchen"

    >uhm why are people saying you can't reduce fat in specific areas? You can totally add muscle in those areas to make that same amount of fat look smaller!
So you agree that spot-reduction is impossible? Cool.

Building muscle on the area which is what people try and do, is pretty much the same thing

        >building muscle is pretty much the same thing as removing fat
        no, it isn't

lol this dude really thinks this is how muscle building works

He is right, gaining muscle will make the fat spread out and you'll look less fat

            >but you'll LOOK less fat
But you won't BE less fat, that's not the same thing as spot reduction. Words and terms have meanings and they matter.

Uhm, actually you also will be less fat percentage wise
              >Gain 1 pound of muscle and 100 grams of fat
Your bodyfat % just went down

cool, that's not a reduction of fat though, so it's not "spot reduction".

                UMMMMMMM ACCCKKHUAAALLLYYY

                >UMMMMMMM ACCCKKHUAAALLLYYY

only proportions matter, dipshit, nobody has a target/preference for absolute fat mass

UMM AKCHUALLY, when people say that they want to lose some bellyfat what they really mean is that they have a leaner looking belly, so it's completely dishonest to just tell those people that "spot reduction is a myth"

                >well if you just ignore what they say and assume they mean something else, then it's okay

You can just ask them why they want to lose the fat. Almost always they'll say they don't feel comfortable looking in the mirror or something

How did we get to this tangent of what normie morons ACKTUALLY want rather than the topic of the OP which is whether or not the spot-reduction of fat is an actual thing or not? Spot reduction is not possible.

You might as well argue that short people can get taller by standing on their tip toes all day, I mean it has basically the same EFFECT as being taller, and normies really just WANT to be seen as taller, so this will work, right? So anybody who says "height improvement exercises are a myth" is making a dishonest argument.

most people will deny spot reduction flat out and won't back it up with the fact that it can appear to be spot reduced. And so most people lose hope and don't realize that you can get rid of saggy skin and fat spots.

I get what you mean, but it depends on context. Like if someone is trying to get a slimmer waist by doing a million crunches, that's not going to do a thing.

It burns calories to sit up, moron. If I was otherwise eating at maintenance I would slowly but surely reduce fat in the desired spots, while toning the muscle

No, you would lose fat from all over, not from the desired spots.

Scammers selling spot reduction are Always selling it as a way to get abs.
If you’re saying that it’s a good idea to exercise your abs to make them more visible without removing the fat, you’re a fricking idiot.
