Yeah sleeping is 90 minutes for me always better. A multiple 6 or 7 and half hours is tired in the video. Much better.

IDK, bro. I sleep like 5hrs per night. I could go to sleep at midnight and then wakeup at 5am and feel like superman. Only time when I couldn't do this was when I had depression from being with my c**t ex wife.

Figure out what you need to actually sleep well. That means maintaining deep REM sleep for long periods. You shouldn't toss and turn during the night. Cut all caffeine out of your diet, have a good schedule, get in a good mood before bed. You should mentally be relaxed and ready for sleep during your evening.

Some years ago I read about how REM is where the actual restful part of sleep is, and that there are methods to maximizing REM while cutting out the rest. You can't cut out all of it, and depending on your work schedule you can't do this to the extreme, but I managed after a few weeks to sleep for about 2 hours and have it feel like 8. I would fall asleep in just a couple minutes flat, and be in REM almost instantly.

I couldn't do it every day of the week, but for about 2 months I would sleep no more than 3 hours at night and take a 20 minute nap in the afternoon when i got home from work. It was amazing how much free time I had. I had a physical job and worked out, so it helped to feel properly tired when the time came. The downside is that any type of skip, or sleeping more than the 3 forced a sort of reset, and you'd have to get back into it again.

I can't do it anymore because of work schedule now, but I often take 20 minute naps where it's 100% REM, and it feels like I slept for 4 hours.

if you control your rem are you also having lucid dreams?

Dreams became VIVID and more common. Or I became better at recalling them. Lucid dreaming is a bit different. A few years before my REM maxxing I experimented with lucid dreaming, all that did was allow me unlimited sex dreaming but honestly had me waking up more during the night.

Sleep as much as your body needs. Everybody is different, how could a youtube video tell you anything about your sleep.

This is a gay and inherently female statement. Nobody knows how much sleep their body needs without some way of objectively measuring it. Some of these fitness watches can do sleep tracking, they can track your breathing, heart rate, how much you move during the night, and detect when you're likely to be in REM sleep. What every single person needs is REM sleep. Nobody needs the 4+ hours per night that it takes them to get into REM sleep.

You need as much sleep as you can without waking up from an alarm you gay homosexual. Everybody knows exactly how much sleep they need.
There is more to sleep than just REM.
I wish i could strangle your fat face with my wiener.

Unfortunately, no. Sleep free from disturbances can lead to waking up early, but that does not mean its restful. Alcoholics can lie in place all night long, barely ever turning in their slumber, and have almost zero sustained REM sleep.
Sleep quality can and should be objectively measured, it isn't just guesswork.

    You are a moron.
The video is talking about taking advantage of your sleep cycle. It's best for you if you wake up during your light sleep, becouse normaly than you should feel fit when waking up and not like you got driven over by a truck.
And one full sleep cycle takes 90 minutes on average, that's why the talk about 6 and 7 1/2 hours. But everybody is different and has sleep cycles that are different long and even for the same person not every sleep cycle has the same duration.
If you really want to take advantage of your sleep cycles you should get a special alarm clock that measures your cycle. It has a bracelet that measures your pulse and how much you move around in bed and decides on that in what phase of your sleep you are. Then it will wake you up in a pre determint time range.

REM sleep is the only thing that matters. doesn't matter if you sleep 10 hours but only get 4 hours of REM sleep, you'll still wake up tired.

for me it works but i need 2 hours for the first sleep cycle. which comes back to 8 hours. the only use i've found for this is when you either have to sleep less then usual (i find 6.5 hours easier and more refreshing than 7.5) or when you have to change your sleeping time (changing by 90 minute increments makes it easier for me). changing sleep times would be easier achieved by taking melatonin for a week though
