Does anyone have experience exercising in VR? It seems potentially useful for stationary biking and maybe isolation lifts

I do it all the time but apparently some German incel broke his spine around his neck area for doing repetitive movements while wearing that every day.

I don't understand. He broke his neck from lifting repeatedly with a vr headset?

No it just wore down a part of his spine where he was doing some sort of movement over and over again every day while wearing that. So maybe exercise isn’t the best idea.

There is a boxing game on there that would tire me out. Kind of fun knocking out Black folk, but I don't really like having that thing strapped to my face.

You would get way too hot wearing a VR headset while on a stationary bike. You need airflow to cool you down as you sweat a tonne. Look into getting a smart trainer and racing other people on Zwift. It's a fun way to get super fit if you can afford it.

I literally do backflips and cartwheels in VR everyday because my inner autist always wanted to be a cool anime protag fighting in the virtual space.

Don't you worry you're going to hit a wall? Also, if you do a backflip in VR, does that mean you did one IRL too?

I use mine a few times a week for Thrill of the Fight and I end up drenched in sweat. Really fun cardio, for those worried about hitting a wall you set up a boundary and if you go outside it the camera shows the room instead of the game.

Whenever I'm on the VR I sweat profusely, causing the lenses to get foggy and impossible to see through and also very uncomfortable. Maybe it's just because I only play a fighting game. VR is kind of a novelty. The thought of biking in it is hellish.

My cardio and reaction speeds have improved a lot since using Thrill of the Fight every day. Probably just running would be more efficient, but the game aspect is very motivational for me, compared to normal cardio.

Is Oculus Quest 2 good enough? I don't want to buy a gayming PC but I've always wanted to try VR

Check the quest standalone games and see if they're appealing. Most of the VR fitness games work standalone. No cable makes a big difference, so the quest is great versus other headsets whether used with PC or not.
