I take a 3 hour lunch break and go to the gym at noon when it's pretty much empty. Nobody knows or cares (corporate middle management job)

I usually work seven days per week and average 60 hours… still gym 2 hours per day. Get a different job if your job wears you down to the point where you don’t have the energy to enjoy your life outside of work. My job is fun AF and relaxing to me. I usually don’t even want to leave at the end of the day and all of my extra hours are unpaid and voluntary because I’m salary.

I got a wfh coding job making £100k per year and I go to the gym during lunch. I only do about 15 hours of actual work per week as well.

Wageslaving isn't bad if you have cushy gig. The caveat is that it took me about 5 years of levelling up in my career to get to this comfy.

What are you coding from home that you can comfortably put in only 15 hours of work in a week and still show adequate progress on your projects?

Do you not fear other people entering the company and working circles around you, exposing you? I’m a manufacturing engineer but mechatronics is my discipline and not staying on top of shit 24/7 would put me way behind, especially with coding since I’m creating control systems for complex circuitry from scratch and everything has to be on the top of your mind so it’s better to just push through for 12 hours straight than break it up into sessions.

If you work in a trade you're gonna have to basically get up go to the gym then work then eat and then sleep and that'll be 5-6 days of your week. If you want more time to do other things along with your schedule then you have to get into white collar work like coding.

Unless you're making high 5 digits/6 digits, or are making money of your own trade, there's no reason to work 10 hours. There are plenty of other shitty jobs that'll pay the same.

What job can I get as a legally disabled guy with a 8th grade math and reading level? I took a test and they said I was ADHD functionally screwed. I work in cooking and want to be able to do something else because cooking is very hard on me and my body.

wfh, use work time to eat, meal prep and recover
you are being paid to sit on your arse a couple hours a day and recover
i spend more time training and doing sports than working because i get work shit done fast and minimally

      another protip
most of the time your work will be passive income, don't put too much effort into it - it's a jog
recognise when it's time to crank it to 110%
most often during key project sprints, when there are opportunities for recognition/client recommendation, when you're working for a bonus or raise or when you've just started at a new job(this one especially)
