Warehouse?

Alright my fellow ISTizens, especially to my warehouse dudes who pull 12-14 hour shifts overnight or working straight like that in general, how'd you manage going to the gym? I feel lethargic or cramped up on some nights, and then there's some nights, where I can keep going. What was your diet like? Any vitamin supplementation?
>Amazon gays, no need to respond. You guys literally stand there or scan light packages
>"hurr duhrr, sometimes it gets heavy."
I'm hauling frozen meats, in excess of 50-80 lbs constantly overnights.

kek I saw a guy who looked vaguely like this at the gym the last time I went. He was going ham on the rowing machine, like really fricking getting after it like an animal. It was entertaining to watch but I also respected his moxie.

I go beforehand. About a 45 min routine. Spread it out across five days then take two off. There’s no way im going after work way too tired

This. When I threw trucks for target it was the only way cause I’d be fully dead on my feet after doing my 12. What made it more tolerable for me was stopping the PR chase for a bit and just going to get my reps in, you want consistency when you do that much labor you don’t wanna blow your own ass out

Why would you need to go to the gym when you spend hours lifting heavy objects every day anyway?

I did not manage going to the gym. I could not fit the 10 hour shifts into a schedule that allowed me sufficient time to go to the gym before going to work.

However, I also managed to be able to go to the gym when working full 8 hour shifts 5 days a week. Account for your routine when placing the gym into your schedule.

Warehouse bro here. If you're doing consistent heavy lifting at work then you don't need to go to the gym every day. What you should be focusing on at home is stretching and mobility, nutrition, and sleep. Going to the gym is for people who don't use their muscles in their daily routine. If you're spending all day slinging around 80lb slabs of meat then you're getting all the strength work you need. Trying to fit a gym workout on top of a highly physical 12 hour shift is just setting yourself up for injury.

in what concentration camp do you work? I'm always amazed at people who throwaway their whole life to warship a company and base it's life around it, sacrificing family, potential opportunities and life in general. Sad..

I've been where you are. The only logical thing for you to do is to work out before you go to work. Absolutely bomb yourself out in the gym, and allow your work performance to suffer. Warehouse jobs don't pay much typically, don't give the best part of yourself away for peanuts.
