Tennis isn't even a sport where men have a big physical advantage since it's mostly about technique/strategy and a little bit of cardio. Could you imagine the 203-ranked male wrestler against a female world champion? Or a semipro men's rugby team playing a match against the best women's rugby team in the world? Even having that matchup would be dangerous for the women.

Is football the only sport where there is no professional women's league?

Most motorsports are gender neutral and typically end up male dominated.

Certain gymnastics divisions are male / female only. For example women don't do the rings nor the parallel bars, while men don't do the bouncy floor thing or the uneven bars.

There is no professional women's sumo wrestling division.

I'm sure there are some other niche sports out there.

                Anonymous

Men do do "the bouncy floor thing". It's called floor. The alternate apparatus for women are just cope because they're incapable of being competitive on those apparatus.

Motocross is super upper body intensive too. I would say the same is true of F1 in terms of withstanding g force in turns. Also women can't drive so

                Anonymous

Oh damn I didn't realize men did the floor competition. Thanks for fixing that.

This tracks with what I've heard about extreme endurance events, that women can actually compete with men, i.e. that when you remove strength, speed, and agility from the equation and get down to pure endurance they have a chance.

        >and are protected from certain genetic conditions that affect only men,
That is true, because they have a backup of all their genes. The X chromosome contains around 900 genes and women have a spare, so 1,800 genes in total. The Y chromosome only contains 60 and overwrites the X, so we have just under 1,000 genes and if a male attribute is damaged then the female X takes over.
        >explaining partly why women live so much longer.
Maybe, but hundreds of millions of men dying in WW2 is still the largest reason for longer average female lifespan, and that won't change until that generation dies. The overwhelming majority of over 80s are women because so many men died in wars, dragging the average male life expectancy down.

Man the gap exists even in countries that didn't partecipate in ww2. Men are almost exclusively emoployed in pretty much every job with negative effect on one's long term health, I dare say that's more of a factor in the longevity gap than fricking ww2 in 2022.

    >Central to Saini's argument is that the strength—bodily and intellectually—of women has been consistently undervalued by scientists. "Women also have strength, and thinking about women as the weaker sex is wrong," she says. "Women are biologically better survivors from the moment they're born. They have stronger immune systems and are protected from certain genetic conditions that affect only men, explaining partly why women live so much longer."
    >Saini becomes passionate as she talks about how the idea of men as hunter-gatherers, undertaking the bulk of physical exertion, and women as domestic caregivers, is just that—an idea, a social construct we've imposed on ourselves. But the reality, both historically and in developing countries around the world, is very different.
    >"Women all over the world work as hard as men. Most women do really hard, back-breaking labor, every single day," Saini argues. "I'm from India, and when you travel back there you see women are doing the exact same amount of labor, if not more, that men are doing. That's a fact of history that goes back thousands of years ago, before patriarchy existed."
    >Ultimately, Saini's ambition is no less than a new scientific model, one that recognizes scientists are fallible and as subject to human prejudice as any other discipline. Things are already changing, she says.
    >"There's a new story being written, and as women have entered sciences and our society has become a lot more enlightened, we're getting a very different portrait," she explains. "I want women to see that equality is not just a political ideal. We are just as biologically capable."

    it's nothing. platitudes.

If his point is that women have excellent super endurance, hes right.

Women are often better ultra marathon runners and ultra distance cyclists than men. They are much much better ultra endurance swimmers probably due to extra fat.

Women will never beat men in the regular marathon, triathlon, speed climbing, or any other typical endurance or strength sport.

But when the endurance activity is 24hr+ women start to match or exceed men.

Maybe it's something to do with evolutionary adaptation for spending hours in labor?

        >Women are often better ultra marathon runners and ultra distance cyclists than men.
How often is "often" in this instance? Because of it's less than 50% of the time, then men are still stronger. Do women hold more records in these competitions than men do, something like that? Are there objective data showing that when have a general advantage in those activities?

Men are over represented at both extremes of the IQ spectrum to include being the smartest

This is true, but ironically its also the reason that women have more autoimmune diseases. Women's immune systems are hyperactive to the point where its attack their own bodies. Double ironic is that pregnancy suppresses the woman's immune system and the theory is that because women are having less pregnancies they're actually having more autoimmune disorders
      >why women live so much longer

All journalists should be killed on sight
Not in minecraft but in real life

      Agreed.
And I have a female cousin that is a journalist. She will fiercely defend the most inane shit some media outlet spews in order to preserve the "mainstream journalism is good journalism" narrative.
      She wouldn't be missed.

Pro women's hockey teams peak versus junior teams - like basically elite high school

I can't believe I seriously have to check whether this is real or a fake one made for parody. I suspect it's both real and fake - let me explain...

It's probably real in that they probably posted this judging by the responses to this thread. However it's probably fake in that they are baiting to get a reaction. They know it's an absurd thing to say, so they're pushing buttons. They get their clicks, they get their virtue signalling, and so on.

correct me if im wrong but dont female chess players literally get a free ratings boost?

        Anonymous

yeah you're wrong, they use the same rating system as men. they do have lower ELO requirements for women-specific titles though (Woman Grandmaster/etc).

I don't know the elo system very well, but doesn't having women only tournaments boost their rating?

If that's true, why in Olympics men have much better results? Be it weight lifting, sprinting, marathon running etc
    How did they debunked this?

This is like hearing someone say "I could do that if I tried" and they never bother trying it ever, but speaking for the entire female gender. 25 years ago, such a ridiculous assertion would get you fired from your job as a writer, so all those useless egotistical writers conglomerated into shitpiece editorials like Vice media, and influenced the entirety of media to sink to new lows. On the other hand, I wonder how many moronic women read this and got crushed by a barbell.. This is conflicting as I only seek truth, and yet love seeing stupid people get hurt/die.

    It's a glorified opinion piece.
They claim that scientists are sexist for acknowledging innate and measurable biological differences between the sexes. Literally less than nothing.

    >one hit rag dolls her across the room through the wall shattering all her bones
ok then why can't you punch women then if they're so strong?

  28. 2 years ago
    Anonymous

Women on average have 40% less upper body strength because they have massive fat deposits where you would have pecs instead. That is just the shape of our body not even accounting for differences in testosterone to allow for significantly more muscle building. Women can have maybe somewhat comparable leg strength MAYBE but not even close overall.

I don't think anyone actually believes this

Sciooence has also made "us" -mistakenly- believe that a strain of the common cold with a mortality rate of like 0.012% was going to kill us all unless we put on cuck muzzles in universities and at work.
