so much is lost... why is IST even still here? Its complete, utter, shit.

      Can confirm.

Was good when GOMAD + HIP DRAHVE was the default answer to every question.
And making fun of tinytrip's dead parents.

Frank is now off the rails, the father of aesthetics is dead, Hodge Twins aren't funny, etc etc.

Derek is analytical, but not funny, and is getting close into shill territory. Greg is a snake oil salesman.

First time posting here in about 6/7 years and the board feels different.

I think when SIR stopped making NYR comics that's when this place went to shit.

IST has lost a lot of its heroes in general. Zyzz, Pianoman, Billy Herrington, Terry Davis, these are just off the top of my head

We are old men now bro.

          I am 26, I started posting here when I was 12 (inb4 B&).

Shit is crazy, that I spent a lot of time here during the most formative years of my life.

Thankfully I was never a NEET cuck, I lived my life, had fun in HS, had even more fun in college, rarely having time to shitpost. Now that I am out of the army and have time to frick around, been posting here more - lots of the charm is gone.

IST is a hollow shell, the bantz aren't as good. IST people dress mediocre.
IST never bane posts any more.
I haven't had time for vidya in years so I don't even browse IST.

Times are changing. Everything changed when moot cashed out.

Yeah, I'm in a similiar position, I'm 24 now and I started browsing back in 2012, mostly IST. I only started browsing IST in 2020 and I was amazed from the board culture, then as I kept on browsing I realised that the board has had nothing new to offer since way before I showed up. I wonder what it must have been to browse back in the early 10s, now it's just demoralization and off topic threads

In comparison to when we were extremely young.
26 isn't old by any means, but I'm no spring chicken. I'm closer to 30 than 20 now.

Yes. It was before steroids/sarms were as popular as they are now - so the diminishing returns hadn't kicked in. The attention economy wasn't in full swing either.

Smartphones hadn't ruined every place in the world yet either.
