What am in for if i ditch the flat bench press and continue to only do incline bench press and dips for my chest? For some reason i feel the pump better on the incline bench.

Incline dumbbell press and cable flys are the best combo for aesthetics
Everything else is strengthcel cope
>that spacing
Just do flat bench barbell, incline dumbell, weighted dips and cable flies.
>they don't do decline bench
LMAOING at ur pecs
Not him but redditspacing isn't a thing anymore and all the newfags calling it out don't even understand what it actually is
>newfag
Been here even before le cookies you tourist.
Writing in paragraph form has always been frowned upon here.
Post a meme from your IST folder older than 1 year to prove you're not a newfag.
NTA and I've been using IST for 19 godforsaken years and noone ever gave a shit about spaced out paragraphs until tourists started calling it "reddit spacing".
I've literally never posted on reddit, never made an account, and I get blasted for "reddit spacing". Fuck you you absolute gay
Fuck. I’ve only been here 15 years now. But surely it gets more enjoyable at some point, right? Is there a bright future here?
>cant even post a meme older than 1 year
>never even brought up reddit
>says he's not that anon on 2 occasions
>says he's been here for 19 years
What was IST's name before becoming IST oh so wise oldfag?
The post you just replied to was the first post I had made in this thread you fucking sperg.
Health & Fitness
No.
not that anon but wasn't it something like health and fitness ? I didn't care much about this place actually
Making paragraphs for single sentences is fucking retarded, reddit or not.
What actually happens is that it looks good in the quick reply window. Seething over it is trying too hard to fit in. The only time it's offensive is when it's blatantly obvious like when they give a space after quoting the post number.
Also your jihad against this is off topic and belongs on /b/ really.
Okay newfag
A great many bodybuilders avoid the flat bench entirely. If that's your goal and training style, you'll be fine.
flat bench is dumb for hypertrophy when
compared to incline
>i feel the pump better on the incline
Me too
I never get a pump on flat
only flies and incline
I think flat bench makes you use your front delts and tris more
Just rotate lifts. Do incline half the year, do flat the other half. Or switch lifts after each deload, every 4-6 weeks or so.
I do flat every tue and incline every thu
Flat bench hurts my shoulders if I go heavy. I switched to do incline db bench as my primary lift and i go light on the flat bb bench for high reps. Works well if you dont care about strength.
You are in for much better overall chest development and your shoulders will thank you down the line. Just experiment with many angles of incline. even just the lowest incline so just a very very slight incline is superior to a flat bench.
Incline activates your upper chest ever so slightly more, but the consequence is giving up the massive stimulus on your sternal head, shifting a bunch more strain onto your shoulder, and forcing you to use overall less weight. For all round chest building, flat bench is better. All people are really saying when they say “incline is better for aesthetics” is that since you fuck over your middle/lower chest growth, you’ll end up with a disproportionately small lower chest relative to your upper chest, thereby changing the shape to a more “aesthetic” one but fucking long term overall growth if you don’t already have a somewhat developed chest. Decline bench is retarded though.
I ditched flat bb and do flat db+incline bb now.
It's the best.
I do around 10-15 degrees. Higher and it's more front delts FOR ME.
That is the key TRY THINGS OUT and see what works to stimulate the muscle.
Dips suck for chest the people pushing that shit are dyels who got filtered by a 155lb bench. Your chest isn't doing shit during a dip, there's no contraction. Even chest dips just shift load to your shoulders. Do incline press + low-to-high cable fly, it will be much better for your chest. Dips are for triceps.
“For some reason” Jesus get a grip and stop listening to other people do what works for you
