    when will you people learn? Exercise doesn't make you a better person or harder the spirit or whatever magic meme that will fix your life. It's purely physical you either do it or not. When you start from nothing lifting or running is hard but over time it becomes easy. Don't pretend anything you do in the gym is special. You want to harden your spirit? Why? What for? Just exercise and enjoy life moron

      ~80% of the population is fat and out of shape, and ~45% is obese to the point of taking decades off their life. Obviously there is a huge swath of the population that has decided that they'd rather live with all of the problems that comes from poor fitness and obesity than watch their diets and go to the gym. Taking care of your body and staying in shape is a worthwhile goal in an odd itself.

      Because tragedy and hardship happens to everyone and if you've never faced any sort of adversity in your life you'll be crushed under the pressure and have a mental breakdown. It doesn't mean to become jaded, empty, and bitter. It means to have the inner strength and mental fortitude to be able to handle the things life will throw at you
