Just abuse sweetener. You can make everything super sweet and it helps.

This, I was really surprised by how easy it is to make things that satisfy cravings. I found this "ice cream bar" recipe from some moronic tik toker and its actually delicious and my gf tells me its helped her a ton with ice cream cravings. Try it out, it makes 1050 calories of "ice cream" but one large portion ends up being like 200 calories at most, idk how much is left in this bag. It doesnt taste exactly like ice cream but its tasty and checks off the craving requirements (cold, sweet and creamy( while also having great macros + its versatile and you can flavor it in tons of different ways.

      In a mixing bowl:
32oz tub of fat free greek yogurt
      4 scoops of vanilla whey
      5 tablespoons allulose
      Tiny pinch of salt

Mix well with a whisk and spread evenly onto a sheetpan, should have a frosting like consistency.
Add fruit on top (i used coconut flakes)
Put it in the freezer for a few hours or overnight
Take it out and cut it into bars

literally just stop, after a while the cravings go away. They only exist because you keep eating sweet stuff

most sugar cravings are not actually sugar cravings, it's just that sugar most easily fits the bill and it tastes good. electrolyte deficient people often crave sugar. people whose diets are deficient in a number of ways often crave sugar.

exactly this. relying on artificial sweeteners is just prolonging the addiction.

A rat study that removed the rats ability to taste sweetness showed that sugar was still addictive.

It's not the flavour. It's the carbs. Carbs release dopamine, so you get addicted like any other drug.

To cure sugar cravings stop eating ALL carbs. Cravings will be mostly gone after 3 days.

You know they did another rat study where they made them sleep three (3) hours less per night and it gave them a whole extra month to work in?

Kevin Smith and Penn Jillette lost collectively hundreds of pounds on the Ray Cronise diet. The first part of which was two weeks of only eating potatoes (without oil, butter, etc… look it up).

The ethos was that of a palate cleanser. We’re addicted and tolerant to huge amounts of sugar, salt, and fat.

People who’ve also done the two week potato diet describe the how flavourful and amazing previously bland foods became afterwards.

Craving is not the issue, acting on it is. Throw away any products containing sugar in your house for starters.

      willpower is limited

        Anonymous

I remember seeing studies where they tested people that believed willpower was limited, vs people who thought it was a skill/ability that you could use indefinitely, and they put them through various trials to test their willpower. Turns out, people who believe willpower is limited performed far worse. Hmm...

and anyway, with the right perspective and mindset, you need very little willpower besides the ability to make conscious decisions. You can gain more mental "leverage" on the issue so it takes far less effort to "move" it, if you look and think about it properly.

You've heard about the placebo effect, right? Where shit works for no other reason than people believed that it would? Why not make that work for you?

Maybe people who believe will power is limited have actually limited will power, while those who believe it is not limited have actually less limited will power

If you have infinite will power, could you please pop your arm out of its socket? It will only take a minute.

Surely, you should be able to will yourself past the pain.

A pic with timestamp will do.

Why would I or anyone else do that? To prove a point to some stranger on the internet at great cost to themselves? That's silly, anon. I think you're just looking for a way to cope with two things 1) your limited willpower and 2) your mistaken view that great willpower is needed for things when a shift of perspective with some willpower would do it faster and easier

Stop making excuses, throw out all sweet foods in your house, and don’t buy anymore, when you want something sweet drink some water and have a low calorie snack instead. Do this until this is the norm and your cravings will disappear. Make sure you are eating meals regularly too, craving sweets can come from being hungry.

Proactively eat shit tons of protein, specifically meat. Two grams per pound of bodyweight. Eat it BEFORE you get hungry. The overwhelming satiety will eventually drive all cravings away. Been there and done this.

      >two grams per pound

even then it was per kilo of lean mass, not total bodyweight. otherwise fat fricks would be eating insane amounts of protein lmao

400g of protein is 1600 calories, you're fricking moronic no one eats that much protein. The real number is 1.5-2g per kg of lean body mass and that's if you're building muscle, otherwise 1g is the minimum

research how fricking nasty that shit it is and what the many ways it fricks up your body. That's what did it for me, and I just never wanted it again.

Alternatively, just get kidney stones once, and you'll do everything in your power to stop that from happening again. I knew a bad biker motherfricker, Hell's Angel, been shot and stabbed and all that shit, but I heard him passing kidney stones in the bathroom of a hotel I was staying in and he was crying and screaming like a little girl. No frickin thanks.
