What are the fitness implications of losing 1,000 - 3,000 calories every day on a treadmill?

If I consume just around 2,000 calories in one day, then I lose 3,000 calories whilst on the treadmill, would this be an effective way of burning fat? Calories in, calories out.

even if you had the willpower to meaningfully maintain that deficit that leads to losing 6 lbs a week, you’ll overload your CNS and lose mostly muscle

I walk an hour at 4km/h and that's 300cal you are going to walk 10 hours? I've done more and realistically your ankles will give up even if you can mentally do it.

lmao what is your plan here, are you going to spend 12 hours on the treadmill everyday?

No not 12 hours. I would spend around 6 hours. In that amount of time I would easily burn 1,000 - 3,000.

        >Walking on a treadmill at 3.5mph (brisk pace) burns about 258 calories per hour if you weigh 150 pounds. Running on a treadmill at 6mph (a 10-minute mile pace) will burn approximately 680 calories per hour.

If you do 4 hours of walking, or 1.5 hours of running, sure you can hit 1000 calories. If you want to hit 3000 you'd have to do 12 hours of walking or 4.5 hours of running.

What if there is an incline? My treadmill lets me set an incline so it's like I'm constantly walking up a hill.

You wanna keep a heartbeat around 60% of your max to burn more calories of fat than carbs.
Walking on a incline is harder so you'll probably will be going to hard.

Updog burns more calories than just simple walking does and literally is one of the best exercises for basic straight arm strength and basic hip mobility. Its extremely difficult to keep for prolonged periods, plus builds your shoulders and chest.

I have a treadmill under my desk at work. I was 5”7 260 lbs. I’m down to 230 and I’m lifting as well in the gym and I just use the treadmill all day at work. (I wfh and have a standing up desk). Even though it’s always on the low seating it basically forced me to walk while I type and shit. The way I figure it is Europeans or city people basically walk that much everyday anyway.

You're constantly burning calories to keep warm, moving or thinking.

A fat, intelligent person is an oxymoron.
I don't care what they make on a test, someone who can't or won't put the (often negative) effort required to lose weight is willfully deluding themselves, and therefore insane.

They don't need to think long because they're smart, thus requiring less calories.
It's like comparing an old Pentium 4 to a modern multicore processor.
The Pentium 4 is going to take ages completing the same task thus expending more energy.
