    Lack of consistency. Unless you have an absolutely awful diet, if you never miss a session you'll make gains and look ok within a year or 2 regardless of routine, intensity etc.

    Not being honest with themselves. My ex gf was a prime example of this, she always said she went to the gym every day when she didnt, he went once a week. She would literally bring a few changes of gym clothes with her just to take locker room pics for social media so it looked like she went lol

    But I've seen this a lot, people saying they did 4 sets when they only did 2, or exaggerating the weight they used. But they eventually come to believe their own lies and then wonder why they aren't progressing. Remember, if you lie to yourself you're also cheating yourself

      I see this one all the time. My buddy always says I'm on steroids because I deltmog him and can ohp 1pl8, says I must be juicing because gear is the only way to build delts. Then he copes about how they dont grow natty, and how his wont grow despite training them twice a week. I go to the same fricking gym as him, were both there at the same time every day before work, and not once have I ever seen him do a shoulder exercise, he literally doesnt train shoulders even though he says he does
