i have head the cold showers only kill your gains if you do them after the training. i used to do them for like 3 months or so. i did not notice any lasting effects. for me they feel similiar to the breathing. lasts for like 20 minutes max and then everything is back to normal

The cold showers is more of an endurance thing and learning how to push yourself through uncomfortable things. If you start with a short cold shower then Linnear progress to as long as you can.

I think his bacterial resistance stuff is more impresive. you should start to get on that for increased recovery between workouts

I do the cold showers thing and haven't really noticed any benefit. It's a nice way to cool off after my saunas.

The breathing was the quickest and best improvement to my cardio gains.

if you're really into it it'll do wonders for you. That's the power of placebo and an increase in your heartrate

I do cold showers every day and I'm a NEET failure. Haven't really been sick since I started tho

Quite nice actually, it's a meditation technique
withstanding hypothermia level of cold for hours isn't a placebo.
It takes time and training but at a certain threshold the cold becomes warm (feels like water changes heat). Like anon said previously it helps you push through uncomfortable things

Yes. I have not had to breathe for over a year and if I dip my testicles into water I can turn it into ice.

    >almost die while practicing cold water dive, forget to keep eyes open, lids freeze shut under cold water, can’t see exit hole under ice, almost drown

    >go to hospital cause you wash your ass in public fountain and nearly blow out rectum from trying to use high pressure spout as bidet

there's a book called Breath by James Nestor that is fantastic and goes over many different types of breathing and the physiological changes from each as well as their limitations and dangers

i use techniques from this book everyday. taught me to breath from the bottom of my lungs rather than from my chest. i do 4-7-8 before bed most days too. haven’t really gotten into the Butekyo stuff though

I think the people that worship him are stupid, I live in an area where it's miserable cold for almost half the year and you can literally just get used to it without any gimmicks. However, no amount of breathing technique is going to save you when you stay outside a bit to long and your skin starts freezing, frostbite is a truly miserable experience.

The breathing is good. I like it and it has helped me to hold my breath for 4 minutes.
