    Having been made to play rugby as a child, there is a lot of upper body pushing/pulling and resisted leg work, plus everyone is eating heartily. Most rugby players have been at it since youth, hence the development.
    Its a stupid thing though due to all the head trauma.
    If you want a rugby physique, do plenty of strength-endurance training and eat well.
    That and sprints/agility drills

    Rugby (and maybe american football) training is basically the most effective cross training you can do.

    Intense cardio similar to wrestling and football (the real one)

    Weightlifting for strenght.

    Wrestling for tackling, the ruck, the scrum, the maul.

    You're guaranteed to have the best physique possible while being insanely strong and having amazing heart gains.
