Mountain biking burns way more than 600 cals/hr, too. I have a rule for myself that, on days when I went mountain biking, surfing or kiteboarding, I eat whatever I want because I will never eat as many calories as I burned that day.

I also like how mountain bikers tend to not wear that homosexual spandex that road bikers can't live without.

No, not really. Unless you're some twink midget or going insanely slow, you're going to be burning at minimum 720 kcal per hour running, while that walking number is overestimating unless you are hardcore hiking, in which case it should be labeled hiking.

Likewise swimming is likely way underestimated unless you have an extremely efficient stroke and you're lazily backstroking or something.

Jump rope is really intense though. However good luck jumping rope for an hour. You have to train a decent amount just to be able to do that.

My 98 year old great grandmother went on a 10k walk the day she died.

My samsung active 2 isnt as accurate as i'd hope, and i know my heartrate isnt what it claims half the time, and 1hr and 30 minute session doing expert/expert+ songs daily, claims that i burn about 800 calories. Rope jumping is very efficient and targets neglected muscles like calves, forearms, rear delts and abs. It’s also easy on your joints relatively speaking.

It’s also fun with the right music and learning cool tricks is easy.

Running is a test of the mind and the body.
You must propel yourself entirely on your own willpower, there is no cheating, you’re either running or you are not, and that depends 100% on you commanding your legs to keep moving

I take a 2 hour walk every morning on a real nice trail next to my house. I work from home and don’t actually really do anything and nobody checks on me so I’m usually back by 9:30am (I start work at 8am). Been doing this for about 8 months now and now it’s second nature at this point. I usually play video games for the rest of the day until I go to the gym at 6pm, pretty well balanced life style.

I simply do not like to run,it feels unnatural despite what people say. I enjoy embracing my inner fish and treading water (not natural either btw). Or enjoying the nice wind on my face with a long bike ride. Or perhaps a vigourous mountain climb if you may partake? I've only seen women, people who don't particularly know much about exercise and feminine men run. Not to say chads don't run, but I only see chads doing sprints, or "gay" shit like the elliptical (which is also a chad machine, despite grannys using it)

A couple of weeks ago I started using the elliptical at my gym and it feels like a cutting cheat code
    >brings out sweat easily
    >can easily go for 2+ hours
    >burns 500-600cals/hour (according to apple watch, so pretty accurate, the elliptical itself is a bit overestimating)
    >has a slot for my phone where I can just watch a movie
    >doesn't frick up my knees like running does
only con is it looks kinda gay and I've never seen another man do it, ever
