Well developed legs are strong and lean made for sprinting, jumping, throwing, etc., not for squatting 3x5 and leg curls

    Squats has been a fundamental and time tested exercise in many strength & conditioning programs for a reason. They work.

      Sprint cyclists are hardly representative of every athlete, they're basically one of only a few kinds of athletes that really want thighs that big. That being said there is nothing wrong with wanting big legs.

        My gf likes me with a strong but lean upper body and a medium lower body. I agree that I look way more aesthetic this way than I would with fuckhuge thighs. I think only dudes like massive legs and who gives a shit what other guys think lmao.

        This is unironically true. And saying "squats have always been a staple in athletic training!" Is pure cope and misleading. IST wouldn't know this because most of this board have never played sports and are socially retarded rejects, but athletes do high volume, medium weight squats. Only power shitters, literal fatfuck NFL players, and gay for pay bodybuilders do low volume max weight squats.
