>hire someone to show em form.
What is this supposed to mean?
A personal trainer is gonna be more expensive. Also, most people don't have Olympic weightlifting equipment or even necessarily the space to use such equipment in their home.
It got appropriated by r*ddit protosois. When crossfit started it was a guy posting workouts for military/police/fire/etc who need to maintain GPP with little equipment. Once it got sold to susan from HR, it lost its soul. I assume keto has the same slope.

About 5 years ago crossfit gyms were popping up everywhere and a lot of taught bad form and what was essentially endurance training.
There are hilariously bad videos on the internet of people damaging themselves with crossfit
honestly its not even that bad.
They do a lot of weird exercises with questionable form. But lifting weights can be a very monotone robotic activity to most, crossfit can be an entry level sport for normies.
And i thought we hated fat people, so normies training is good no?
>But lifting weights can be a very monotone robotic activity to most >Learning is just too boring and I can't really get into it
If fun is what you were after, go rock climbing. Weight lifting is as serious as it can get since you can literally snap your spine in half doing any lift
I think the worst thing about CrossFit is that it's all about doing complex exercises as fast as possible, which is not at all effective but is very dangerous. That's why people doing CrossFit are getting injuries so often. I personally can't imagine myself doing snatches for several minutes straight, because my form will inevitably slip and the chance of me injuring myself will rise. But that's what people in CrossFit do.
The rise of crossfit happened when the giant first wave of GWOT vets came home. Crossfit was a big PT larp at the outset. The current youth have no interest in larping as soldiers, and older people that do are filtering themselves out via age/injuries.
it being a retarded fucking meme probably has something to do with it
hmm, interesting. Peak retardation somewhere in 2014
No one wants to pay a $75 a month gym membership
Kek try closer to 200$
The retarded trainers priced themselves out of the competition. Anyone can Google a WOD and hire someone to show em form.

It is almost worth it for a resort-like gym like equinox if you're rich.
Actually it's over 100 dollarinos
Injuries
Injuring members faster than they can be replaced
>What is causing the slow and steady decline of fad exercise program?
That's what happens to fads, gimmicks, and all types of retarded ideas. They die out.
keto is next
Inshallah
low carb will come back under another name
we had Atkins, paleo, keto, carnivore, etc
yeah, powerlifting is next
They know it's dying out too.
That's why they recently had that clip of the one-armed guy faking a two plate clean and jerk go viral. They are desperate at this point.

Women are now all trying to grow butts and slim waists. Crossfit makes women look like men. Only IST posters are gay enough to be into that shit
More and more people are now aware of what crossfit is, so there is less need to search to see what it's all about.
I hate ticktok zoomers
Interesting, is tren trending on tiktok or what is this?

>why is the population of snap city declining?
Attrition
what's wrong with crossfit? i recently signed up and it's pretty good
About 5 years ago crossfit gyms were popping up everywhere and a lot of taught bad form and what was essentially endurance training.

Anon, it's already like 10 years ago.

yeah, this is why you should lift heavy weights either
*shouldn't
doing complex lifts with heavy weights under time pressure is fucking retarded
you are incentivized to lift with shit form because its faster
it's a fad
all fads end
Trends come and go in waves.
Jazz used to be the number one pop music but jazz bands still exist.
Punk rock never died, it just fermented into new forms.
I'm not even sure what Crossfit is.
Lots of people doing bodyweight exercises
Inflation due to Putin's Price Hike
injuries
>what is causing the slow and steady decline of crossfit?
Attrition. Every year thousands of crossfit consumers perform a pilgrimage to snap city and pray before the black box.
Injuries.
