He has some great videos, but there are limited things to talk about in fitness so he uses physio therapy degree to reinvent the wheel over and over again which results in him coming up with random nonsense

he has more technical knowledge of the human anatomy with relation to fitness than 95% of fitness youtubers

Too bad that relying on the bio-mechanical model for training mostly means nothing

Which is why his older video are better. After several years you run out of new shit to talk about.

His oldest videos and the worst shit. Even Jeff admitted himself that the standing on bosu ball "functional" stuff was crap he made up

The fake plates destroyed his rep permanently, what a moronic decision that was.

To be fair he's really weak so his only options were putting up DYEL numbers for decades of training or fake plates

Destroyed his rep to whom? His primary demographic has always been dyels new to fitness who go to the biggest channel on YouTube with high production values. They have zero idea that controversy ever happened because they've only been lifting for 3 months

He had respect in the greater community as a whole for years up until that debacle (for what it’s worth). But now it’s opened the floodgates to criticizing him deeper on his programming and his character without looking like a hater (which other big fitness channels have done).
Don’t get me wrong, he’ll have his bankroll and 12 million pajeet dyel subs watching his 5th video on how “bicep curls are killing your gains”, but it was a completely moronic move with literally no upside.
It’s comical how he did it too. He could’ve positioned the fake plates deeper in the stack and away from the camera, but he decided to stack them closest in frame with the shot. Completely boneheaded self-snitching.

I don't even know why he wanted to show that he can deadlift that much besides ego. His whole shtick is that he's an athlete's coach. There wasn't any need to show off how much he can deadlift.
Scott Hermann never did that and is just content with being a purely "aesthetic" guy and they've been in fitness youtube for around the same time. Why couldn't Jeff do that as well?
