Decent post. Echoed how I feel about my Granddad's Christian church I went to last Sunday. A whole lot of feel-good music and praise of Jesus with not much substance, and a lot more whooping and hollering, and falling on the floor. I don't want to derail the thread more than I already have, but in regards to the priesthood ban, it served the same purpose as polygamy; it made Utah a better place, and therefore the church and mormon corridor in general and the positive effects linger today. But remember that it only banned Black Africans (so for example Australian Abos were not banned).
