Redpill me on poop transplants and the process of getting one plus the mechanics behind how it works to fix IBS.

I know you’re not trolling because I’ve heard briefly of this before.

i had a friend that went to a party college. he developed IBS and it made him miserable. i always suspected he had somehow nuked his gut flora by heavy drinking during early college.
but that was just a hunch. i'm not an MD. i don't know why he got it. and i don't know what made it go away.

the purpose of fecal transplants is to reestablish a healthy gut biome (the microbes in your digestive tract).

everyone gets a limited amount of dairy they can eat in their life before their shit gets fricked...once you reach that limit youre lactose intolerant

        Anonymous

That's contrary to what I was told the mechanism of lactose intolerance is.
Apparently, there are bacteria in your gut that digest lactose. Normally, they would die during early childhood because humans are breastfed only for a short time, and those bacteria just don't get any nutrients. The thing is that we feed babies and children milk and cheese en masse, so that the bacteria survive for much longer.

      >i removed all dairy from my life

dairy is what makes intestinal flora balanced.

People need more dairy, not eat less of it, unless they are black. Most blacks have the gene that causes them to have lactose intolerance.

    extreme problems require extreme solutions
    every ibs is different unfortunately
the most extreme diets come with the most extreme problems
ahead of you is a long road of minmaxing your food. as a modern man you are used to eating literally thousands of things, a hundred spices, a million obscure chemicals and """"""natural flavors"""""" and ""generally accepted as safe (except in california)"" and """"""""""""natural coloring"""""""""""". you will reduce this to a dozen or so things.
gone will be the days of sorbitol, sodium acid pyrophosphate, potassium lactate, modified whole half natural doublemonodigorinnoshoichnicalciumcucksoyphate...
you enter a new age, the age of USDA BEEF, EGG, SALT, and water from the fricking tap with a filter you replace often. Say goodbye to your precious spices, your sauces, pizza, and all fast food you fat loser. No, seriously, unplug your microwave. Sell it. Throw it in the garbage, whatever. You WILL thank me later, you will NOT eat the bugs, and you WILL own your own land and car. And you will be miserable regardless because fixing IBS doesn't bring her back.

Fruits and veggies are actually the key to good gut health. People who eat burgers all the time are going to suffer with this because it does nothing to feed the friendly bacteria in your gut. You must have fiber. I guess the bread has a little fiber in it, but nothing like fruits do.

Eating tons of vegtables with an occasional tartar helps my IBS. Plus if the weather is too hot I get bloated with air at the same time I actually shallow and eat air. At least that's what my doctor told me after scanning.

      This.
      also realllllllly avoid fruit/fructose.

Stick to meat and dairy and whole grains, not processed flour/pasta or other garbage.

NEVER eat packaged foods like TV dinners, etc.

Cut carbs, as carbohydrates are what feed the bad microbeds in your gut and body.

Eat more good microbes that exist in dairy like plain yogurt, NOT that flavored sweetened shit.

Bad posture. Compressed vagus nerve meaning that there isn't proper signalling from the brain to sequence digestion. If the smooth muscles are ill-timed then doesn't matter how many poop transplants or eubiotics you stuff down your gullet the feedback cycle will frick up because they don't get to digest your food properly, which means they can't maintain optimal population levels. Compressed Vagus Nerves are also associated with elevated stress, and you know what that does to digestion: all that fast metabolizing and cortisol to give you quick energy.

          A classic double-edged sword.

On one hand it can loosen what is already stuck but on the other it could delay a movement, giving it time to dry out and form a plug.

I've found medications can cause constipation in two ways. Opiates must put the gut to sleep, everything moves so slow the turds just dry out into sticky nuggets that don't like to move. Other drugs can cause your abdomen and butthole to be tense enough to delay the process.

Never heard about this. What’s the solution to this?
        Why would mine be compressed?

        >What’s the solution to this?
Sitting more naturally and improving your posture. If that doesn't work then they need to actually stimulate the nerve
        >Why would mine be compressed?
Working at a desk for long hours, looking down at your phone all day, being tall and having to constantly 'duck' under things and crook your next down to make eye contact with people. Trades that cause you to crook your neck to observe or work in confined or low spaces. Childhood posture problems. There's many reasons it might be compressed.

I don't understand your question. What does lying down after a meal have to do with craning your neck into award positions all day for work or constantly looking down for obscene periods of time such that it compresses the nerves that pass through your vertebrae?
Also you should probably not sit up straight when eating at all but rather lie on your side like the ancients did

    >IBS
Your gut bacteria is out of whack and/or your diet is bad. There are many different types of IBS, the symptoms for each type are numerous and difficult to describe. Doctors use the term "IBS" because they don't know shit about shit. If a study doesn't exist then your symptoms don't exist, at least not in a way a doctor can care about

There are a lot of studies need to be done to identify all of the different types of IBS and their causes. These studies won't be done any time soon.

I would start by avoiding eating anything that causes your stomach to get upset, even a little bit, for instance milf is fine for me but things like buttermilk, creme fraiche and greek yogurt almost always turn my stomach. On the other hand things like dates, sweet potatoes and meats seem not to have any reaction to, so listening to your body is a key part in beating something like IBS or controlling symptoms.

IBS just means they don't know what the problem is. I was diagnosed with IBS at the end of 2020 but it was actually UC. I ended up being on medical leave for close to 9 months and have been on biologic therapy (entyvio) and had 4 blood transfusions during the first few months of the illness. Now after 18 months I'm about 90% recovered.

      >entyvio
doctors are shilling this to me, but im going the diet route to clear my UC. how bad are the side effects? my dad thinks that my colon will die if i go on any biologics (immuno suppressants)

        Anonymous

If you have moderate to severe UC I'd recommend it. I've been on it since Dec 2020 with no serious side effects, only a little bit of joint pain that is negligible. It took about 6 months for it to start working for me so keep in mind it takes time, but my symptoms are basically gone now and my colon showed significant improvement at the 12 month mark colonoscopy.

Cutting sugar, caffeine, and dairy will fix most IBS. Less desserts helps. Increase fiber. Probiotic might help. That’s mostly all you have to do. Your body will adapt to a new diet.

  33. 2 years ago

If you ever seen videos of colonoscopies with commentary by proctologist, the problem could be like a million things, and diagnosis of what it could be between Crohn's, IBD, and IBS is on a best fit on a spectrum. Obviously endoscopies are definitive, but if it's something like "yea the linings look healthy, no polyps or lesions", it's pretty much up to you. The easiest thing to try first is eating a different variety of greek/probiotic yogurt, and hopefully one of them improves the symptoms (this is definitely safer than chugging prebiotic bacteria packets). Also try to figure out the source of the flair-ups, as it could be anything (e.g. food, extreme anxiety, etc.).

On that note, is there a such thing as having "too many" good gut bacteria? Just wondering if they can be harmful in high amounts. I get everything in moderation, but some yogurts contain a MASSIVE amount of bacteria. I have heard that IBS can also result from too many friendly bacteria in your gut. True? I have no idea. That's why I am asking.

I've had bad IBS most of my life. I've been eating like most people all my life, processed stuff, fast foods, soda, candy, and all the rest with regular "healthy" meals also.

Last summer I went for a month eating only eggs, meat, potatoes, dairy and some fresh veggies. I ate nothing that I didn't cook from scratch, no sauces, no seed oils or processed stuff. Also lowered my alcohol intake a bit. It has completely changed my life for the better.

I slip every now and then and eat crap though I feel horrible afterwards so it helps me to stave off cravings.

Also started exercising regularly which likely also helped

tl:dr clean food and exercise fixed my IBS
