Sprint freestyle. Also the stroke that makes you the buffest. Backstroke is by far the worst. Every backstroker I met in HS and college was weird af.

Alright I'm done being my own gains goblin. Where can I find the swimming sticky? I know jack shit about it, I have no sense of effort when it comes to that. What's slow, what's fast, what's hard, which technique does what, how much to do...

Started swimming again a couple months ago after like a 10 year break, my fat ass can only do backstrokes now. Wish gym pools were deeper, but I guess they have to be shallow because of the no lifeguard thing.

Back stroke is the least based stroke. It makes me nervous I am going to swim into the mouth of a shark

Hardest set I ever had to do in college was 6x100 butterfly on the 3:00.

Sounds easy as frick, right? Well, if you didn't do a given hundred within 4 seconds of your PR, that 100 didn't count. I think maybe six guys on the team finished the set, and all of them weren't butterfliers so their PRs were artificially slow.

I wanna get back into swimming. It was my favorite activity as a kid. What lifts improve my swimming? Also is there any guides or videos you’d recommend for improving technique? I never got the hang of butterflies

I am in the same place as you anon. I also returned swimming after doing so as a child, breaststrokes for now and you need strong triceps and lower back muscles, at least from what I've been feeling.
