What is the point of life after 30?

Everything in life is centered around youth.Do older people merely exist to keep the lights on for the younglings?

Only youth makes life worth living. It has nothing to do with hedonism.
People are ecstatic for life relative to how young they are. It's no coincidence youth is exalted as the prime of one's life. Throughout the world youthfulness is the standard sought by almost all. It offers charm, beauty, health and happiness to those who have it. It is always searching for new sensations, new visions, new adventure, new romance, new thoughts and new ideas. Youth charms the world with its impetuous, carefree attitude and welcomes the exquisite temptations of life. It searches for change and laughs at failures. It is associated with the highest physical vitality and mental enthusiasm. Indeed, youth is the visible symbol of the joy of existence. It stands on a pedestal above all else. Everyone holds his youth to be worth the highest price; we are all thrilled by the feeling of youth. No one would give it up for any compensation, and once it is past, nearly all would give practically anything to have it back. It is the one thing we all cherish if we still have it, or desire if we do not have it. If you are young there is nothing you would trade for your youth; if you are old there is probably nothing you would not give in
          order to be young again.

cringe post. surveys asking about happiness consistently show people in their 60s reporting more happiness than those in their 20s. life is what you make it, if you idolize youth then you're bound to be miserable when you're old.

Maybe a good amount of tv and movies are centered around youth because it’s visually pleasing. But as a youth with no wealth and little opportunity to accumulate it compared to my parents generation I’d have to disagree.

Everything seems centered around the youth because young people are self centered , as is normal at that age. When you get older maybe you’ll have a family or find something you care for more than yourself which is truly a happy life. Don’t buy into the consumerism and self centered life style pushed on you.

As a man in my early 40s who is married and has a good career and everything i ever wanted...life is hell after 30. Seriously just die at 30 youre better off. My greatest accomplishment if 2022 is that i didnt kill myself. Im fit, i practice mma, i have a ton of constructive hobbies. It still sucks.

      >Life sucks

      Who to believe?

        Anonymous

I'm 37 and this is the reality so believe this please..

At any age you can be happy or sad. It doesn't make a lot of difference. Actually your circumstances don't have that much influence either, for example I haven't had a proper relationship in quite a long time but I'm still relatively happy - I'm stressed about it but have an optimistic attitude. I don't know what it would take to make me think well this is just fricking shit and to kms, of course it could happen but it would have to be like some horrible terminal condition. I don't get depressed easily.

The point is that your age doesn't really matter for how happy you are, that is all incel/doomer shit and the people saying it the loudest are the ones with the most problems. You can 80 and really happy and satisfied, we all know people like that, so how does talking about being depressed because you're 30 make any sense - it doesn't. Just stop wasting your time and energy on this shit, it's all rubbish.

Take a picture of your souroundings right now if you are home. If you aren't, take a picture of your car key fob

You wont. Why? Because you are poor. Pic related.

There is a 100% chance you will do 1 of 2 things:
    >ignore this post
    >reply with a nerdy, picless LARP

It isn't until your late 20s and early 30s where the vast majority people begin getting their finances in order. I am 31, own a house, have a $70,000 car, and make 6 figures between my career in Fintech and a side hustle.

You, on the other hand, are poor. If you aren't living with mommy and daddy (which you probably are, zoomers are the most coddled generation to ever exist) then you are living in either a shitty apartment or in a shitty dorm room and don't even have a job.

Take a week off and take a trip to the Bahamas. Oh, what that? You cant do it? Because you are poor? Lmao...

The zoomer's entire personality and being revolves around "youth" and as soon as they hit 30 its going to be like some sort of midlife crisis/ego death. I expect mass suicides and drug overdoses

I've been lifting seriously since I was 18, and am now 33. I know the narrative is that it's supposed to be downhill for men after 30, but I'm easily in the best shape of my life and moving more weight than I ever have. In my 20s I was NEVER able to lose enough fat to have washboard abs, but I finally have at 33 and have never been stronger in my lifts

Based. In your 20s you are just being mogged and cucked by Chad. Surrounded by people who had more positive feedback loops and more of a head start so they get to have all the fun while you dont. I see no reason why anyone should mourn their 20s unless they were Chad or a high-tier normalgay which statistically most men are not
