how do you walk toes first? just stand straight, shoulders back and legs forward of the body, helps to also squeeze the glutes

lean forward, raise one leg, fall forward, allow your raise leg to catch your weight heel first with a stiff leg, this maximizes the impact on your joints especially the knee
    repeat 10,000 times daily

for best results you will want to alternate between left and right legs

My pe teacher used to talk about how shoes fricked up our walking and running techniques and that it is why Kenyan runners always win.

I myself have walked on my toes my whole life and now the only machine I have maxed out at the gym is the calf-press, even though I have never trained calves for strength in my life. It has fricked up my legs though since I can't squat or dl properly

I mean the guy is an old pe teacher, however his statement does have a point. When running, especially short distance, your technique should only involve your toes touching the ground and therefore making you faster.
