You don't consider Judo or Jiu-jitsu to be martial arts?

Judo is an olympic sport and jiu jitsu has been a sport for long time. Combat sports are better than martial arts because with combat sports you compete and actually have to fight another man to win and progress. Martial arts you do the same song and dance some 4 foot tall chinaman came up with hundred years ago and think that makes you a deadly weapon lol

Look there's a lot of fake bullshido out there, but to say that purely drilling arts like tai chi or whatever is representative of martial arts is fricking moronic. Even Karate gets used in MMA now. You're just referring to martial arts where you actually spar.

From perosnal experience and newspaper research, nah. Wing Chun ain't shit.

Shit if there's a martial art that makes your skin knife and bulletproof I'll just go do that

                There isn't one.

A lot of training allows you to carry yourself in a collected and relaxed manner that tends to not attract the types of people that want to hurt you.

I guess you need someone like Jocko Willink or something to say that for you to believe it.

Don't bother, this potato has it in his head that combat sports are "real" and martial arts aren't. He'll get tapped in the balls by some little person one day then have a chair flogged over his head because martial arts is about killing.

The popular practice has to be watered down, as a business model, but there have been and still are schools out there that train with everything from unarmed to armed fighting, they tend to function more like local militias.

Again, don't bother with the circular 'martial arts are bullshit' convo, it's bait dropped by c**ts who've never been hit.

I do BJJ with my 5 year old. I don't want my kids to grow up as weak ass nerds like I did. The world is only getting harder and more lawless, so combat strength will become more and more important. I'm raising a brood of Aryan supermen and there's nothing anyone can do to stop me.
