Fruits, peanuts, that sort of stuff.

See, the problem with you formar fatties is that you take everything to the extreme.
Changing your lifestyle doesn't mean you can't eat ice cream or cookies for the rest of your life, it's all about self control. As long as you only eat them sporadically there's nothing wrong with it.

There's a difference between ice cream and whatever the frick OP's pic is. My brother has an ice cream machine at home and that shit is delicious, you can even mix in whey

Ice cream is fine sometimes, candy is no good. Whatever comes in Klondike products these days is no good either. I'd like to raise them in the woods too.

        >As long as you only eat them sporadically there's nothing wrong with it.
while this is technically true, you're basically suggesting to a former food addict that they practice moderation which is more likely gonna lead them to go back to their addiction than living a balanced life.

i don't like to compare food addiction to alcoholism since they are obviously very different afflictions, but the underlying addiction mechanisms are similar and there's a reason why AA preaches total abstinence from alcohol forever and not moderation.

          Anonymous

That's a complete lie, and this is why fatasses usually never make it and come up with excuses like
          >ughhh I don't want to eat like a rabbit
It's way easier to cut back little by little than it is to go cold turkey. Especially when it comes to daily staples like coffee/sugar. There are special people who can just grind it out, but I don't think the majority of the population has that will power/dedication.

            Anonymous

i guess it varies by person. for me, moderating my junk food intake and counting calories daily was incredibly hard and i'd always go back to my old eating habits. what really worked for me was rolling 1-2 day fasts and OMAD. it was a lot easier for me to just not eat at all than to eat less

              Anonymous

NTA but I don't see why you'd want to create a completely new habit of a meme restrictive diet instead of just overwriting bad habits.

            >It's way easier to cut back little by little than it is to go cold turkey.
Honestly this might be different everyone because I 100% disagree. I used to be a fatass, then I went from 45 to 15 bf% after just avoiding any and all junk food for six months. I'm still at the same size almost two years later.
If I have junk food at home it will be gone in minutes from being bought. If I have no junk food at home I won't even think about it. Why tempt myself? It's just cruel.

The only really scary ingredient is carrageenan which is actually very likely a carcinogen, and it's in a ton of processed foods.

Well all the sugar (and specifically the fructose) isn't that great but it likely won't kill you. A video I like to link people on the subject is https://youtu.be/dBnniua6-oM, and this paper https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/is-fructose-bad-for-you-200705012507. Form your own opinions I guess.

Carrageenan is a thickener made from seaweed dude. It's not likely carcinogenic.

          >When taken by mouth: Carrageenan is commonly consumed in foods. A broken down form called poligeenan is possibly unsafe. It might damage the colon and cause bleeding and cancer. But this risk hasn't been shown in humans. Also, carrageenan products found in the US and Europe can only contain a very small amount of this broken down form.
I might have been thinking of that. The abstract of this paper (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7009739/) makes it seem pretty safe.

I eat a sweet potato or some oatmeal at 3-4PM. On days I lift I might grab some beef, turkey, or deer jerky for protein. It helps keep my energy levels and mood up, and also helps me not overeat at dinner.

Pic related is my favourite. They are the ideal snack because after 1 or 2 i am satisfied and lose all desire to keep eating. Fruit gummies, chocalate etc. are all dogshit since they make you want to eat more and more until you feel too sick to continue eating

Donuts are delicious but pretty much the worst thing for you. Sugar, deep fried, more sugar in the form of icing and enriched white flour. It's basically all the worst shit in one. I still eat them rarely because theyre so fricking good but they are horrific for you.
