What the frick is wrong with my heart? I have gone to three doctors and had numerous tests done only to be told "Lol IDK". I am:
>30
>Male
>170lbs
>Army veteran(Got out in 2015)
>Unvaxxed, including flu shot
>Walk minimum 3 miles a day with dog
>Hike on weekends and in the summer
My problem:
>Resting heart rate is around 100bpm
>Even going up a flight of stairs at a moderate pace will shoot my heartrate up to 160bpm
>Average walking heart rate is 120bpm
>Started running more often thinking that will help my heart
>Marginal difference
I don't know how long this has been going on. I was born with asthma and got over it when I was in the Army. I ETS'd in 2015. By about 2014 I had issues with breathing and running again, but it wasn't too bad. My 2 mile went form 13:50 at 19 to 16:58 at ~25 and now I run 2 miles in 20 minutes. My heartrate is through the roof when I'm done.
I am at my whits end on what to do here. Do I need to exercise even more? Should I try running with a weight vest(a la kevlar vest)?

Did you ever get COVID?
I did, but had this problem before COVID.
how tall are you?
5'10. Forgot to put that in.
They all said there is clearly something wrong, but the tests all show normal.
Smoke?
Drink?
Roids?
Drugs?
On 750 tren and test per week
You are kinda fricked. We tried to warn you. If you really had this problem before getting vax, now its only gonna get worse. Dont do intense exercise
OP is unvaxxed.
Please learn to read.
if multiple doctors couldn't figure it out, maybe there's a chance that whatever you're experiencing is psychological. it will probably be expensive, but it might be worth seeking out a psychologist for an initial assessment
Could go to a specialist as as well, that's a pretty high resting heart rate for 170lbs
If you smoke cigs or tobacco would kick that, but a cardiologist might be able to do a diagnosis and the VA might help out
specialist as well*
either way cardio will reduce your resting heart rate
If you are just very stressed all the time and it's psychological and not physical then would seek the counsel of the Lord
I started to do running/jogging/walking a lot more and my heart rate hasn't changed.
>stress
As posted earlier, I am not stressed
>counsel of the Lord
Already do.
>Do you take any medications?
Just allergy meds once in awhile
Don't think I have that.
why didn't you answer the question about caffeine?
Mistake. I don't drink much caffeine. When I got to ~200lbs I told myself I can't make fun of fat people at this rate, so I quit drinking soda entirely. I might drink a cup or two of coffee every few days.
Went to a cardiologist and they just did more scans and were unable to help
>smoke cigs or tobacco
I did smoke for awhile. When I first noticed this issue I quit right away and haven't smoked for a couple years now.
>VA
kek
>Smoke?
No more
>Drink?
Maybe a fifth a month
>Roids?
No
>Drugs?
No
>stressed
I'm not very stressed
>getting vax
I am not vaccinated. I did get sick with a COVID positive Flu, however.
>Maybe a fifth a month
Have you tried drinking more? It could help
>don't think I have that
I know a lot of people who thought they were having a heart attack, did countless exams, went to cardiologist 100x and believed it wasn't psychological but in the end it was all in their head.
Your doc wouldn't risk his job lying to you.
>I did get sick with a COVID positive Flu, however.
You've probably got some form of post-viral syndrome which has given you tachycardia, commonly known these days as long covid. For all the fearmongering about the vaccine, the disease itself can cause long-term damage as well.
whats your height? 170 pounds is meaningless without knowing ur height
VAXXED
Maybe get a cortisol test, are you stressed all the time? You could try exhaling more than you inhale to see if that temporarily lowers your heartrate a lot.
Do you take any medications?
How much caffeine do you intake per day?
Might be anxiety.
Did you have sex with a vaxxie?
I haven't had sex in 8 years
I knew going to IST for medical advice was a good idea. You're all obviously light in the loafers, so why not go straight to the source? Straight to the homo's mouth? kek.
When I have had blood pressure taken it has always been normal, or as the nurses proclaim "perfect".
>ECG
A year ago. My family has a history of heart disease, usually due to intake of an abundance of starch, soda, and alcohol. My father had an enlarged heart and died of complications from heart surgery. My ECG came up clean so I do not have cardiomyopathy.
I think you need to get Peaty and also test for hormone issues and thyroid issues and maybe concern yourself with potential microbial overgrowth within your body.
>Peaty
More vegetables?
>microbial overgrowth
I did have some weird gut issue for awhile. Didn't shit solid for two months followed by a month of constant constipation. That went away. I had an "alternative medicine expert" tell me to try Lugol's Iodine and gave me a bottle of it as well as some other things. I'm skeptical but not against.
>post-viral
I have had this issue prior to COVID. I have noticed a lot more fatigue since COVID, however.
I will mention it with my new physician
To be fair removing soda is generally a good thing. I have also removed seed oils as much as possible, as well as fast food and HFC. I admit I will eat taco bell once a month or two. My diet consists of steaks, lots of chicken, lots of spinach and broccoli, and occasionally rice. And a lot of lamb and venison.
>veganism
Kek. I will never go vegan or vegetarian
Never.
Only eat pork n' beans once in awhile.
Ray Peat. Not necessarily more vegetables.
I'll look into it. I was thinking Peat like peaty.
No. I sat in a tent and watched pretty lights all day.
what
said
Also. Could be you accumulated blood clogging over poorer diet at an earlier age and meat does not help with that at all. Do you have noticeable veins in your legs ?
Either way what can help you is cleanup diet like the Ray Peat stuff, but not just that, some abstinence from heavy meat for a while.
Additionally, you can check your acidity vs alkaline levels.
For a while you should aim at low acidity. Lower all heavier food for a month. See how it affects you.
Sounds like AIDS. Sorry bro we told you God hates buttsex.
What's your blood pressure?
When did you have your last ECG done?
>Army veteran(Got out in 2015)
Thank you for your service
Probably hormonal. Maybe thyroid.
Have had bloodwork done, I presumed and was told that thyroid issues would come up with that. Nothing came up. However, I have another appointment to meet my new physician coming up so I'll bring it up with him.
Doubtful. I didn't do anything exciting in my military service. I only mentioned veteran to show I haven't been a couch potato my whole life.
From what I understand there's some issue of interpretation and a lot of people would benefit from more t4 thyroid hormone. It could be excess of that one hormone that makes you feel unconsciously helpless though which might be seratonin.
Post your bloodwork
Don't have it on me, but it all came back "normal".
being a veteran it's possible you have some kind of stress disorder and not know it? If you really cannot find anything physically wrong I would at least consult with a psych, one who works with vets.
Maybe exclude some things from your diet one at a time, or try a different style of eating. Lots of people report solved mysteries when they do a dramatic switch. Would caution against veganism.
I bet he eats beans. Beans are evil
Should have taken the vax.
Low oxygen? If your heart rate is high at rest, maybe your oxygen absorption or transfer is being inhibited somewhere along the way and your body is compensating by just increasing rate of blood flow. I'm no doctor, but try using an oxygen can for high altitude hiking and see if your heart rate goes down.
>oxygen can for high altitude hiking
Kek. The highest altitude where I live is <800 feet. Most everything is around 680 feet. I do agree with the oxygen absorption, and one doctor mentioned this is the most likely cause - but as far as why it occurs particularly on inclines even when walking one was troubling to him.
Seems almost worth it to try and get my ass to Mayo.
>this is the most likely cause
And this was ruled out by your "normal" bloodwork. Your hemoglobin was right. Considering it's been going for years internal bleeding can be ruled out as well as dehydration. I asked you for ECG but you said it was "normal". Are you using any stimulants (caffeine, nicotine etc)? Do you have GERD?
To be specific with the ECG, "nothing outstanding was found".
>stimulants
Very little caffeine, if any at all in a day. No nicotine.
>GERD
I used to get reflux when I drank a lot, but those days are behind me. I seldom get reflux unless it's after a long night of drinking.
Did you see combat? I had a similar issue at 21 but it was anxiety/panic attacks, I have tamed it now.
There is a doctor in town with his own practice that doesn't necessarily practice alternative medicine, but supports it and has a different outlook on things. My brother goes to him for testosterone and told me he said ivermectin was prescribed as flu treatment until COVID hit and so forth.
You are unfit
When u hit 30 u really have to be maintaining an above normal standard
shameless self bump
Supplement magnesium (ZMA) for some time before seeing the doctor and check the reflux. Are you using any prescribed drugs?
I've had a similar problem that comes and goes.
I also have asthma and had breathing issues and allergies. I also had anxiety, panic attacks and insomnia due to ptsd, but those I managed to fix for good, haven't had that shit for many years.
I have no idea what causes your issues, but mine are cause by constant allergies due to poor living conditions and not getting enough deep sleep early in the night. I can highly recommend you to try the Wim Hof breathing method, the 15 minute shit for beginners, after I do it my heartrate drops from 100 to 60 and stays there for a long time.
My condition also can go away on its own if I do weird exercise targeting my ribcage, sometimes it's almost feels like something in my heart gets loose and I gotta smack it back in like a faulty old tv. Perhaps one day it's gonna stop beating after the smacking like my dads, fricker gone away at 55, but I ain't done yet.
What had helped me get rid of it almost entirely was spending the whole day outdoors biking in the summer, doing a lot of meditation and deep breathing, going to sauna a lot and fixing my anxiety and diet. make sure you're eating enough magnesium+potassium, and good luck to you.
Schedule a stress test with the cardiologist, OP. You may be suffering from unexpected arythmias without even knowing it.
>t. died of cardiac arrest but was brought back to life
It turns out I have a genetic mutation known as CPVT. It's very quiet until it's not and you drop dead unexpectedly. Many people have this without even knowing about it.
In the stress test the doctors will have you on a treadmill with heart monitors attached. You'll run a progressively harder course until they find irregularities.
Give me a rundown of ur diet each day. And i will fix ur issue in less then a week.
Give fasting 1-2 times a week for minimum 24hrs a try if u havent already.
